Isn't USCIS following PD for case processing? I haven't seen (in this forum) any approvals with PD after September, 2002 (India)...except for one person, but he is from AZ.....Correct me if I am wrong...

No They don't follow PD for approval as long as its current (Visa Number available).

Lot of people got approved recently with PD dates anywhere from Jan to Dec 2002 (India) .. Including me with 09/23/2002

Is there any relationship betwen name check and RFE?

Let's say my 485 is pending due to name check, will they atleast look at my application and issue RFE if there is any even with name check pending?

I am expecting RFE on my 485 due to birth certificate which is off one day...

Hi, Your signature indicates you rcvd. the cards on 5/15. Have you taken appt. for getting it stamped in your passport? If so, where do you go and get it stamped? I am in LA and I guess near by USCIS centre where I been for FP. Please confirm.

FYI : My cards are mailed out on 5/17 and expecting today

You don't need to go for stamping since your cards are on the way.
Before getting infopass appt for I-551 stamping your cards will be at home.


Previously everbody used to go for stamping because it took several months or years to receive the actual card when they use to manufacture greencard in USA...

But now a days i think Green card is Made in China so everybody is getting with in days and avoiding stamping..

Can you please confirm wether it's made in china after you receive the card next week?

Havent received Card yet?

Those of you, who received approvals emails around May 10th(so did I for my case and my wife's case), have you guys received cards yet? In my case, my wife (who is dependant on my application) received card on May 15, and approval notice last week, however I have not received anything for my case yet.

Any commnets what may be the case. One obvious reason you can think of it change of address, but that is not the case. Both of us lived in this place for a while and we have received our EAD, AP all without any trouble.
I live in Southern CA

Initated inquiry over phone by calling customer service.

Last month 04/22 i had a message change that
"Finger printing results received and processing has resumed"

And another LUD changed on 04/24 both on mine and my wife 485.

Can i assume that my name check is cleared?? I did my finger printing in Oct 2005 and nothing changed to my 485 case at that time. Suddenly message changed and LUD changed last month and nothing this month...

Looks like officers are no longer looking at 485 cases. No LUD changes nothing on my I-485 case this month.

Let's wait and see...

No - you cannot assume anything from LUD changes. I had LUD changes on 4/8 for ALL my applications - including approved EAD, Advanced Parole, I-140 and pending I-485.

The only way you know about namecheck is by sending email to csc-xii.485@dhs.gov and waiting for the reply. Keep sending emails every 30 days until you get a reply or until your 485 is approved whichever is sooner.

No relationship between Namecheck & other process also.. They will not hold off any other process till namecheck is cleared. Why are you worried about NC? have you got any email from CSC about name check pending ?

140 Approved but 485 pending

Hi GP111,
My 140 as approved this week.
I am EB2 RIR case, 485 was applied concurrently and now the date is current for me.

The 140 and 485 both were transferred to TSC from CSC in March.

Will sending an email to TSC for 485, help in getting it approved?
If yes what should be the format of that email?

What I can do to expedite (can I do any thing?)

Note: I got a reply today with in 6 hours after I included my A numbers in email. Prior to that I didn't get any reply to my 2 emails I sent.

Why you want to go for stamping when Cards are already mailed out ?

Just checking .... Because everybody saying that need to go for stamping in the passport. Don't know. Today we received cards in the mail.
