Is NC initiated again after Fingerprinting of renewal for EAD?

Hey guys do you know if name check is initiated again after you do FP for EAD renewal. My name check is stuck with NSC and I will soon get a FP notice for my EAD renewal. I am afraid that this might initiate a request for name check again which might complicate matters further

Response from Service request

I made a service request on my pending I-485 (now pending well over 1000 days!).

It confirmed my fears:

"The processing of your case has deen delayed. A check of our records establishes that your case is not yet ready for decision, as the required investigation into your background remains open.

Until the background investigation is completed, we cannot move forward on your case. These background checks are required.... If you do not receive a decision or other notice of action from us within 6 month of this letter, please contact us...."

Note that I have submitted to FP twice, both cleared, and have probably been in name check since august (based on last LUD).

This sucks.

Use google spreadsheets

Hey JW,
Noticed the good work you are doing in maintaining this tracker spreadsheets. I have two suggestions.

1. Track approvals from all service centers. Reason being these days the long pole for getting approved is the namecheck. It doesn't matter what's your service center, to get approved you need the namecheck cleared first. Approvals from other SCs give an idea where the FBI is as far as NC is concerned.

2. Why not use google spreadsheets for maintaining your tracker?

You can update it online and publish it in HTML or excel format. Google gives you a permanent URL which everybody can bookmark to view the latest status. You can even import your existing excel spreadsheet. Google spreadsheets was designed for exactly this kind of online sharing.

I will update the tracker every few days. Please do not update the tracker as this causes version control issues.

However, I am going to pass on the all service center tracking idea for the time being. More than I want to handle at this time. Plus other trackers exist for the other service centers. Maybe in a few months I will move to the name check threads, leave this thread to someone else and start a real NC tracker somewhere else.

As for google, I do know of it and have used in the past. Unfortunately, it has some limitations, e.g. no conditional formatting, no array formulas, things that I use to make my life easier to maintain the tracker.

I have applied NSC on 12/05/06 I485, I140 together. My I-140 was approved on 12/06/06. I have Fingure Print on 2/2/07. Lud on I485 2/2, 2/4. My son has lud on 2/8,07. Can any body say how much time does it take to get approval? I am new for immigration.

I know that. But that just means that, as you said, he is ELIGIBLE for a VISA number, meaning, he can apply. My PD is November 2001, but my I-485 PD is 10/25/06. I think that means that even though my PD might be before someones who's is in 2002 or 2003, if they applied to 485 before me (let's say august or september of '06), they'll get it processed before me...
