does anyone know how tio file freedom of privacy act? i'm checkin on fbi webiste but it is confusing? anybody know exactly how to file?

Speaking about the BCS, I notice no approvals today. Certainly not a good sign :eek:
 
No A good sign for I-485' s but I-140's

I have been seen only I-140 approvals on yesterday and today, seems like they take certain days of the week to check I-485's i have seen most of the approvals on friday, and saturday. Its just my point of view following inmigrationwatch.com and trakcitt.com

Our GC got approved today. Got welcome notice & Card order in less then 6 hours. I am in the tracker.

from which country are you? any idea about your namechekc clearance date?
 
From Pakistan.
I know from multiple info passes I was stuck in name check for 6 months. My wife got cleared in 48 hours of initiating name check.

so then ur namecheck got cleared maybe in december, right? at least u give people hope that namecheck still can get cleared in less than 1 yr.
 
My name check initiated on June 19, 2006, per immigration officer, & was pending as of my last infopass 2 weeks ago.
No case LUD's for name check clearence.

then maybe this Background check service (BCS)program yesterday or today cleared ur name. or ur name was cleared in the last 2 weeks before BCS. kind of weird.

by the way which center processed ur i485 approval? ur signature is kind of confusing.
 
Yup my case is not straight.
Filed at NSC as it is my jurisdiction, but as reciepts shows, went to TSC, concurrent filling, they approve 140 & transfer our both 485 back to NSC.
I doubt my name check cleared by new programs, as their are atleast 80K people ahead of me per statistics of name check pending greater then 6 months.

why ur case got transfered back to NSC? any reason that u know about? from where ur EAD and AP used to be processed before?
 
I belive since I have previouly filed NIW 485 pending at NSC filed in Nov 2003( need 5 years medical service commitement in underservice area to be adjudicated in 2008), is a good reason for TSC for transfer second concurrent filed 140/485 back to NSC.
Let me share that , I do had name check cleared on my earlier NIW 485, but they will not honour it. or cross transfer it, despite my argument its the same person with same prints & same name.

According to officer my second 485 trigger a new name check inquiry and needed to wait till it get cleared. I cannot answer, how long it took for earlier name check inquiry. I know second one was any where in between June 19 2006 untill last night.

if u are saying that ur namecheck was not yet cleared 2 weeks ago, it means that ur namecheck cleared after that. so u can say ur namecheck got cleared between say 20 december and yesterday.
 
New Update - I765 approved

Hi All

My I765 was approved today. after my FP my LUD for I485 is changed to 01/02/2007.

Does this mean namecheck is clear or nothing related ?

did u get consecutive lud before ur approval? and when?
 
Congrats!

Congratulations Sathya on EAD approval. It looks like they are working on EADs filed around October 06 Last week.

The LUD may or may not be related to your name check. As several other people recommended in the forum, take a Infopass appointment and find out if it is cleared. I think that is the only way to know for sure about the status of your name check.

USCIS Proposes Establishing Background Check Service System of Records

USCIS has proposed adding a new system of records called the “Background Check Service,” as a centralized repository of the consolidated data on all background check requests and results. Authorized USCIS representatives would be able to request background checks and access data stored in the system of records during the adjudication process of pending applications. The proposed effective date would be January 3, 2007.
