where did you receive it ? in the US or in India ? I gave my indian address (parents) in Pkt-3 and they said that they have mailed it on the 5th of March but i havent received it anywhere yet too. My interview is on the 29th.

if u can get it easily why not ?

if you cant get it easily its a different matter. as a matter of technicality i dont think its required as its not mentioned anywhere in the Pkt-3 or Pkt-4 documents and nor do we see references to it in any of the post interview reports.

Hey Pro, when was your I 140 approved?

I\'ve just mailed my packet 3 to NVC yesterday (March 18th) and am trying to estimate the time frame for interview.
 
April Dates for Mumbai are out

Go and check . There are 12 EB\'s on 23rd april. I wonder why they have so many on one day
 
Dolphins- My I-140 was approved in Nov of last year .....

But I delayed & sent the Packet-3 in Feb. My Packet-3 reached Mumbai on Feb-15.
 
Sailing permit is very easy to get

I heard it required just a trip to your local IRS office to get sailing permit. Not a big deal.
 
Pkt 4

Mine was mailed to my US address (I\'d mentioned it as my current address). The email said that the Packet was sent on Mar 5, and I rec\'d it on Mar 16.
 
Bank draft question

Hi All,

My wife has interview on 23rd April.
I have a Bank draft related question..

Before the drafts were payble to US Consulate General Mumbai,
but now it says CENTURION BANK AC USA-VISA

Anybody confirmed it?

shalimar is good

It is expensive though, but has everything you need. Clean rooms,
good service.

And only 10 minutes walk from US consulate, 5 minutes from
My own studio, and 15 minutes from Breach Candy.

1. Currency exchange.
2. very good Travel agent for last minute changes to your plan.
3. Internet/Fax/Xerox/Scanner etc.

Alternative cheaper places are Kemps corner and ( I forgot the name)..
Both of them are within one block, but I do not know how they are.
 
Pancpgc- I am surprised, I got April 23rd Interview date

My Packet3 was entered in Mumbai systems on 6th. I don\'t see my case no. on website. I sent an email after consulting with Pancpgc to prepone interview.

I received an email for preponed interview- scheduled for 23rd April @ 8.15.

Thanks to folks at consulate and this website.

We know now- AJ072, Desi007 & I would be meeting on 23rd April.

that\'s great. I want my interview before May 15. My P3 reached Mumbai on March 18th. When do you think I should email. Can I email without case number or should I wait for case to be entered?

I am sure you will have to write the check to this bank.
 
I suggest wait until first week of April and then email.

Have a right reason to prepone. I had a reasonably valid reason to do so.

I have one more question. Did you wait until they already gave you a date and then you emailed in order to prepone? Or did you email them as soon as you knew that P3 had reached and requested a time frame for them to schedule interview?
