Concurrent Filing - Using Cross Chargeability

hi

For your information, my wife gave code 1 just two months ago.
It's her 3rd one.

Thanks.

Hello Sekar,
As Vikram said, schedule an Infopass appointment and determine what your name check status is. Since it has been 43 months since your AOS filing, I would be stunned if your name check were to have been still pending.
Odds are, USCIS would send you a new biometrics appointment for your spouse and you in the near future, and your approval would follow just a short while afterwards. You are probably on the cusp of being approved.
Since your CC request just went in, I'd give it a month after the request and initiate an inquiry.
Hope this helps. Please do post the outcome of your Infopass. You're almost out of the woods my friend. Your sheer patience will bear fruit quite soon.

Hi guys,

My 485/EAD/AP petition has been filed on May 2nd. My question is about color copy. I didn’t submit any color copy and moreover not even a B/W copy of DL.

Now I was reading this thread and am confused little bit.

Is it necessary to submit color copy? Why do we need copy of DL?

My lawyer didn't ask for the color copy. He didn't ask for copy of DL.

Please Advice, what should i do?

THanks,
VS

Hi VS,

My lawyer made me submit color copies of Passport biographic page and D/L. But since it didn't happen for you, perhaps it's better to wait for the RFE that to send it in because you can't guarantee where it'll end up and they might just issue you an RFE again anyway. Besides, waiting for the RFE will indicate that they are working on your case.

On the other hand, if you do want to send it in proactively, I'm not aware of any problems with doing that.

Thanks prezcalvin,

Could you please answer these questions?

#1
Do you think that color copy is mandatory?

#2
Also, i noticed that your 485/EAD/AP RD is 3/5 and ND 3/7. When exactly did you receive your receipts?

#3
Was your application accepted very first time for CC? Did you include any special cover letter?

Please do reply.

Thanks,

Hi Skp

Its very easy to get an Infopass appointment. Go here http://infopass.uscis.gov/ and schedule an appointment. The appointment will probably be scheduled at the closest ASC to your address. It doesnt cost anything and lets you talk to an immigration officer who has full access to you case, for once.

Can someone tell me what an infopass appointment is? I see it referenced here all the time and from above post figured that one can meet with a live immigration officer. What is the purpose of this appointment? Does it help in any way?

Hello guys, My wife and I were called for Fingerprinting early April. We applied for I-485 early March. However we still havent heard anything on our EAD or AP. I was under the impression EAD comes first. How long does it usually take to hear back after the fingerprint? Just that am so confused here and kinda feel clueless

Cheers and good luck to all my friends out here

Hi Newbie and welcome. My attorneys say that both AP and EAD happen within 90 days so just a matter of time before you start seeing some movement. We also applied in March and got fingerprinting done in early April. We got AP approved a few weeks later and EAD is still pending, but I expect it in the next month or so. Have you started to track your applications online? Below is the link in case you havent...you can set up an account and put in all the case numbers and trcak them to see if there is any movement

Looks like I received the "magic e-mails" today (at 9:00 p.m. no less) saying that card production had been ordered for me, my wife, and my older daughter. I wish everyone else the best of luck with their cross-chargeability filing since it appears that there is hope after all.

Congratulations Craye.

Sorry, I have no idea. My lawyers asked for it, and I complied.

I didn't. My lawyers did. So I don't know the exact date when they received the receipts. They told me the RD was 3/5 a few days later. But I think it was roughly that week of 3/5 when they received it.

Yes, it was. I asked my lawyers to include a special cover letter, and they said they did. (They have filed quite a few CC cases, and in general, seemed to be on top of their game and knew about this stuff.) They also said they put in bold and in a hot pink sheet that it was to the attention of the mailroom supervisor. I didn't see the actual package that was sent by my lawyers though.

If you need more exact help, please refer to WellWisher's message a few pages back where he detailed in a very helpful fashion the exact stuff he included.

You said it yourself :) It is to meet a live immigration officer. The purpose is to clarify anything about your 485 that you couldn't find out on the phone. For example, on the phone they wouldn't tell me if my name check had been initiated or not, but at the Infopass appt. they told me the exact date when it was initiated. I also intend to take Infopass again in 4 months or so to find out where the namecheck results stand.

mali03 ,

In how many days did you receive your receipts?

Thanks,
VS

Hi vsaxena,
the notice says received date as 03/16/07 and notice date as 03/19/07. They were mailed out to my attorney and received them from hin on 03/30/07
Hi prezcalvin,
I am not a CC candidate and sorry if I am in a wrong forum.

Hi prezcalvin,
I am not a CC candidate and sorry if I am in a wrong forum.

Ah ok, so you have a current PD. You're most welcome in this forum, it isn't exclusive or anything, and in fact it will be a good comparison to see when you get your name check cleared. Since you also filed at NSC and a couple of us also did it using CC around the same time, it'll be interesting to keep tack of each other's cases and see if CC makes any difference.

Thanks

I'll keep you posted on any progress on my case.
Mine was filed as regular but got lucky at NSC and I140 was approved in 15 days!!!!
I am still waiting on EAD and AP after FP on 04/21/07.

Trackitt is a great help in knowing how TSC and NSC are doing and which cases are recently approved. I have seen a couple cases from Jan and Feb 2007 (premium) being aproved.....keeping my hopes high!

Anybody get RFE on educational evaluation in I-140 stage?

New things for the tracker in a couple of days

Hi All,

Recently there has been requests to add 1-2 non-CC guys to the tracker.
Iam thinking of adding details of our non-CC friends to the spreadsheet. To differentiate I will be adding a column that indicates CC-usage/regular.

I will impl the above within a couple of days.

Thanks & regards,

Hi Dedo, Thank you so much for the kind response. I have set up an a/c. Right now its just a keeping my fingers crossed, wait and watch game....:)

does the name check ever expire?

I know my questions might annoy some of you who are waiting for the N/C to be cleared. Please forgive me.

I know FP expires in 15 months. But does the name check expire too?

This may be a valid question for people whose PD not current but 485 pending for more than a couple of years.
