Concurrent Filing - Using Cross Chargeability

Ar

Dbins01,
Yup, we did the AR-11 very shortly after we did move.
I would have thought that they'd have a singular database that houses all our information, and in an optimal world, sending in an AR-11 progressively changes your listed address on every case in process. Unfortunately, reality is that the AR-11 has absolutely nothing to do with any pending cases, nor do the USCIS Customer Service personnel have access to your personal information (such as your address). Hopefully they integrate this going ahead and make life easier for people like us, and help themselves by centralizing their data and information repository.

Nain,
I agree with Radd. It is your application, however, since you have paid an attorney to undertake matters on your behalf, get your money's worth and get on them to at least tell you what the reason for insufficient payment is. Did they ask for a fee when you went for fingerprinting?

Congrats ks!! Did you also get the approval notice?

Call the NSC no. and talk to the rep about what happened and tell them to change the address on the spot itself. You don't want to go through this again..

Just talked to my employer. Apparently the approval notice(s) are with the attorney now. He wasn't sure if the Advanced Parole was amongst that. Wife's EAD card hasn't come in today, but we're not sweating it.
The 140 approval is with the attorney and I should be getting a copy this week.

Radd, agreed about the address. Definitely don't want to go through this with the actual GC whenever that comes in, or whatever they send after the 485 is approved.
FYI, no LUDs on the 485 since 05/01.

ks I remember that you went for FP on 04/21. How many LUDs did you get after FP? Seems like you last LUD may not be for FP..

Hi Radd,

I believe I got an LUD on 4/28 and then one on 5/01....I might be wrong though, and if I am, then I think its safe to assume that the 5/01 LUD was triggered off the FP on 4/21? Dunno...it would be nice to have some historical LUD data on that site...I should have paid more attention though...

Thanks ks_cc,
I haven't gone for the fingerprinting yet, its next week.

Nain,
Ok, this might explain it....I have a theory on this (I might be way out on left field here)
When you pay for the 485 processing, more often than not, they cover the costs and fees for Fingerprinting. If they don't, then you need to pay, I believe, 75-80 bucks as fees when you go for fingerprinting.
That status might be indicative of the fact that the attorneys paid for 485, but did not cover the fingerprinting charges.
In fact, when we went for FP, I carried cash with me, but they never asked for it....turns out that it had already been paid for.
So...long story short, carry some cash with you, I think its 80 bux per head, and if they ask for it, you know what the 485 status meant, and if not, just ask the nice folks over there...they may be able to shed some light on this...

I just got my I-140 approved in EB3. I am from India, but my spouse is from Vietnam. She has always been on H4 while in the US. Can I use her country for CC?
Hey gc_psraj,
could you let us know about your I-140 approval date? How many times did the LUD change before it got approved ?
Thanks

Nain...USCIS requires applicants and petitioners for certain immigration benefits to be fingerprinted for the purpose of conducting FBI criminal background checks. To better ensure both the quality and integrity of the process, USCIS processes fingerprint cards for immigration benefits only if an authorized fingerprint site prepares them. Authorized fingerprint sites include USCIS offices, Application Support Centers (ASCs), and U.S. consular offices and military installations abroad. In general, USCIS schedules people to be fingerprinted at an authorized fingerprint site after an application or petition is filed. USCIS charges $70 per person (for most applicants) at the time of filing for this fingerprinting service. Please check the instructions on your Immigration application or petition form to find out if you must be fingerprinted.

This is off of the USCIS site...notice the ambiguity of 70 per person...for most applicants....don't know what that's all about, but that may explain the issue.

Thanks ks_cc,
my 485 receipts shows that fingerprinting fee ($70) was already paid along with 485 fee ($325). Total money paid was $395. The INS website is showing it wrong. God know when they are going to correct it.

I see what you mean....well, I guess either call or talk to them about it when you go to the ASC next week. Good luck on your biometrics.
The ASC might be a better avenue, since you can talk personally to an Immig Info Officer rather than spend time on the USCIS Cust Service for a long time, especially since you're going to be there anyway.
Look on the bright side...if the case was "really" suspended, they wouldn't have called you in for a biometrics...unless you had paid up what they think are your outstandings.

Hi,
The same happened with me as well. I have not personally received a single receipt document (Notice of Action) nor any approval notices, but they did make it to the attorneys. I did get my EAD card mailed directly to me though.
I suppose this is normal, however, it was my impression that the attorneys get a copy and one is mailed to the applicant/beneficiary. Guess not though. As long as the attorneys have it, its all good I guess. They sent me a PDF with all scanned notices, so I have a copy of everything.
Hope this helps.

Radd and others..

My EAD came in the mail today. Still waiting on spouse's EAD and both APs.

Overboard,
I'm in the exact same spot as you. Hopefully my wife's EAD should come in today or tomorrow hopefully. I believe the attorneys may have our APs....will find out today.
