Concurrent Filing I140 & I485 Nebraska Service Center

Finally got hard copies of AP
Our AP have been approved on 10/17 per the online message. However, my attorney first received and sent my wife's AP to me on 10/22, and today I got my AP by FedEx, too. My attorney is really very helpful and prompt in replying my inquiries and sending papers to me.
On the other hand, we have our FP done on 10/18 and FBI status checking told me that they sent the results to INS on 10/19, the message for our I-485 does not reflect any of the FP status, nor pre-FP neither post-FP. I notice this happens a lot to NSC filers. Probably NSC won't update the message for FP.

I-140 approved in less than 3 weeks!
An amazing thing just happened. My lawyer just called to tell me my I-140 was approved!! Here are my particulars:
I-140 RD 9/26/02
ND 9/27/02
AP 10/18/02!!
What's amazing is that the receipt said it'll take 120-150 days!! I had just received the receipt 2 weeks ago and was preparing my I-1485 documents for filing concurrently (with I-140 receipt). Now all of a sudden the I-140 is approved! That's got to be some kind of a record... 3 weeks (apparently the approval notice took a week in mail to reach my lawyer). Anyways, good luck to all of you guys. I hope all of you receive your I-140s soon.
Well, that just makes my weekend a whole lot better. Time to head to Chicago for the Junoon concert.

Why extension man? I bet your job is secure enough and you dont care.
I was thinking to reschedule as the way I am not married yet, and marriage may not take place within 6 months. Still, I did not reschedule, I am scared even though I am working for a stable compnay. Job market is very bad.

Is my case still considered as a concurrent filing case ?
My I-485 was filed on Sept. 12, 2002 before the I-140 got approved on Sept. 25, 2002. Today I received the receipt notice for I-485 and ND is Oct. 22, 2002. Is my case still considered as a concurrent filing case ?

I guess it is. As long as you file I-485 with I-140 receipt not with I-140 approval notice. It consider Concurrent.
Because it doesn't matter when your I-140 approve, most of the case I-140 get approve long before I-485 approve for concurrent filer. so once I-140 approve they won't change thier category from concurrent to normal filing.
Ahh, who cares ? do it matter ? as long as you got your I-140 approve, not wait for next steps.

i filed my i140 , EAD,i485 concurrently on 30th august.
i got my i140 approved on oct 23 and my EAD approved on Oct 24.
I have been following a lot of posts regarding concurrent filing , and the one striking pattern is that EAD is issued only when the i140 is approved. However , it still works out to ur advantage since i140 is being approved pretty early these days , and as soon as it is approved , the EAD is approved within a weeks time.
Please note that i have been following mostly the pattern at NSC and this may not hold true for the other centres.

The only unclear issue is AC21 portability under concurrent filing. In the absence of any clear guide lines, the existing rules may be applied and may be assumed that those who have applied under concurrent filing are eligible for portability provisions under AC21. It is just a thought. Anyone has any comments on this.
