Concurrent Filing I140 & I485 Nebraska Service Center

hi m2002 i filed i 140 on sep 4th and after getting reciept i filed i 485 on sep 10th, also the query i recieved was requesting additional information from my company and also my lawyer asked me to send in a w2 from last year i donot know as my salary is much lesser than the one quoted or the one my company promised to pay after i get my green card am i in trouble
 
EAD

Since this thread is very active let me put in my concerns

My EAD is approved on 10/18/02 .. The message says ..

On 10/18 after approving your applications...... yada, yada,yada..
we have ordered for a new card blah , blah blah.. it will take 90 to 120 days


How long do we have to wait for the card to arrive?
I saw in some postings that people got their cards with in 3 days of that message...

Do we have any one who is still waiting for EAD to arrive.. on or before 10/18

Concurrent Filing Question

Hi Gurus,

Scenario:
we file for I 140 and get a receipt in 1 week.
After 2 weeks with the I140 receipt we file for I485 is this considered as concurret Filing?

(same case or situation like we send both I140 & I485 together)

Please let me know.

Hi,

It is very much considered as concurrent filing. All the filings of I-485 while I-140 is pending are considered concurrent filings.

This is what we have learnt from our attorneys and from this forum. I have seen you in this forum for a while now.

Your question reminds me of a saying back in India. It goes like this, someone who heard "Ram Katha", the story of Shri Ram for the whole night and the next morning he had a question like how is Sita related to Shri Ramji.

I was saying this on the lighter vein and no offence intended.

Can anyone tell me how to fill signature card.

There are two boxes

1. signature here
2. Place print here.

Should we put signature and finger print also.
Can any one tell what to do

IT is Concurrent Filing.....No doubt about that...

It is NOT considered Concurrent if you file I485 with I-140 approval in hand.

Hi nbindu,

I think we don't need signature card. May be I am wrong.
Did you consult your lawyer or did your lawyer told you to fill out ?
Becasue I got the impression from my application that signature card is not necassary. (I think my lawyer mention something in the cover letter)

My advise is to consult you lawyer first.

Anybody has any other input ?

I did fill the signature card. Don't have any part of your
signature outside the box. otherwise you
need to sign it again

Concurrent filing receipt

Hi:

I filed concurrent filing on Oct 8, 2002. I haven't get the receipt from INS. And I would like to know if anyone get that after or on Oct 8?

Anyone with concurrent filing not have I-140 receipt but only I-485 receipts ?

Is it normal that I only got I-485 receipt notices (for me and my wife including EAd/ AP) but did not get I-140 receipt. My Lawyer said, she didn't receive I-140 receipt but as she received I-485 receipt, it might be delayed or not big deal.

Do you think is there way I can find out from the LIN number of I-485 receipt or from I-485 receipt ? is there any relation between this two application ?

What u recomdate, should I call INS direct or let Lawyer call them ? (because lawyer will call in her sweet time)


Or it is not big deal, just wait for couple of more week.

My I-485 notice date is october 7th. I will post details, when I get receipt from my lawyer.

Hi JBM,

This is normal. There is nothing to worry. I only have my I140 receipt and i have not received the I485 receipt for me and for my wife. I called INS reagrding this, they told me that I140 & I485 are processed as seperate departments hence some times we will not receive the receipt number at the same time.

If your I140 check has been cleared then you can find the case number from the back of the check. I found my case number for I140 from back of my check and also when i received the recept both had the same case numbers.

FP Notice Received Today

:) FP was scheduled for 11/15/2002.

For your information, here are my details:
Filing Date: 09/11/2002.
RD: 09/12/2002
ND: 10/08/2002
FP: 11/15/2002

I mailed I-485 on Sept. 23 with the receipt of I-140 petition. I got the receipt today (RD: 09/24, ND: 10/19). I was asked to pay FP fee of 50 dollars in additional to the 255 dollars application fee. I thought the FP fee was included in the 255 dollars, obviously I was wrong. Those who prepare to file I-485 don't make the same mistake.

I plan to file I-765, the fee is 120 dollars, am I right? Besides the receipt of I-485 and 2 photos, what other documents do I need to file I-765? Please post your advice or e-mail me at hryi16@hotmail.com.

New Approval

Hi All,

here is one more approval which i found in I140 tracker.

I-140 , EAD. I-485 filed concurrently.
RD 8/30 (for all 3)
ND 9/10
FP 10/23
I140 Approved 10/23

This is not my info. This info has been picked up from i140 thread. This will help us in analysing what date INS is approving I140 now.

EAD Approved!

Online status shows that my and mife's EAD was approved on 10/23/2002.

Usually how long it takes to receive the card? Anybody has any ideas? Thanks.
