(2) What DOT code did you file under and how many years of experience did you write in your application?

My case went to Chicago DOL on Dec Ist 2003 but when I try that AVM I don't get any message.It says "case not found" or something like that ...

Any idea about what is happening ?.
 
My case is return by the state after remand. It was posted on Feb 5 th I beleive, but no updates after that.

not sure how i get the priority date...filed in mich on oct 2002..sent to federal in last week of oct 2003 and case entered in avm on nov 12, 2003.

not sure of the dot code...i will check it and let you know. i think the position my company advertised was BS+6months exp .
 
Hi All,

My case (BS + 0 exp) has been remaned to state after 2.5 yrs of waiting in California. I have decided to get a new job some where else where the labor processing is fast.

Finally, I got a job in Chicago, and wondering how long it would take in RIR? Considering BS + 4.5 years of experince. This employer had 65 cases approved in RIR so far with out any denials or remands.

Any input on this is higlhy appreciated.

Ray, i thought in one of your earlier posts u said that they had started to process it again..H2-B was done wasn't it
 
i know..this sucks..its really unfair too that the people next in line have to wait forever for their approvals..u wud think that they wud assign different officers for it

did some random checks on AVM, case no 054290XX received in dol on NOV 17 with dot 030.162-010 is remanded to employer on March 19. looks like dol is processing some cases. any comments on this?

DOL PERM and Backlog Reduction Centers Locations

DOL has disclosed to the AILA the locations of the PERM reengineered labor certification processing centers and Backlog Reduction Centers as follows:
PERM Processing Centers: Atlanta and Chicago
Backlog Reduction Processing Centers: Philadelphia and Dallas

DOL has reported that there are over 300,000 permanent labor certification applications pending at this time. The two Backlog Reduction Centers should help to reduce the backlog cases once the centers open. The Backlog Reduction Centers are expected to be manned by private contractors and according to the unconfirmed sources of information, such contract may not be offered until May 2004. Our earlier report that some state offices started transferring backlog cases to contractors turned out to be outsourcing of backlog cases to overseas contractors by the Texas state labor certification office. It is unclear how far the overseas outsourcing of permanent labor certification applications will go in terms of the involved large states. Please stay tuned.
 
processing at Chicago DOL

My case was received in Chicago DOL on 09/03/2003 and has not yet been assgned to an analyst. I know many more people whose case are pending since their receipt at DOl Chicago in 09/2003.

I spoke to the Analyst supervisor and was told they are backlogged due to temp case processing. They have only 2 analyst processing perm application and I was told that it could have more than a month before anything happens.

So do not expect magic if your cases were applied in Nov/Dec unless you get lucky.

Good news, My Labor got approved today finally by God's grace.

Chicago Labor approved-03/24/04- federal labor

I called the chicago labor today and got this information, they told me my case has been approved today and the certification is going to be sent to my lawyer today itself.

Hope everybody gets their cases approved soon. I wish all of you best of luck. Please let me know if you need any more info.
