How will they decide DOT???
is it for the company or will be same for all applications they received on that day regardless of company???

Hi Kumar,

Dot code depends upon your LC- Occupation title:

You can find out your Dot code with the following information:

Check your ETA 750b form and column 9 ( Ie Occupation title)
Ex : Software Engineer : 030-062-010
Programmer analyst -030-162-014.

Did you find your case # ?
Thanks,
Ashkar.

Thanks a lot Ashkar.

Then mine will be 030-162-014.

I didn't find my case number exactly. But i found Chicago DOL received 6 cases from my employer on 2nd sept,2003. So, for sure mine will be one among them. Because mine was forwarded on 28th Aug from MI SESA.

is there any difference in getting approvals based on DOT codes????

july 8th 2003 Cases

My case has transferred to Chicago DOL on July 8th 2003. One interesting thing, there are three cases reached same time from my employer. I also checked couple of other cases that were reached same time, for these cases also AVM system says “has received on July 8th 2003". I am just worried about this.

Gurus >> Do you guys have any idea how should I get some kind of response form DOL? Should I ask my lawyer to call DOL?

Is there anyone else in the same boat?
Thanks
psam

I am also in the same boat

Hi all,
I am also in the same boat.My case recd on july8th and not approved yet.My attorney spoke to the dol office.she told me that my case is not assigned to officer yet. Most probably it may take 2 more weeks to assign to an analyst.thats the news I got from my attorney.

We also shared the same attorney. The attorney said he will call DOL and find out.

Hi Kumar,

Dot code makes difference.
DOL officers review cases depends on DOT Code and RIR/Non RIR.
My case also received by DOL on 09/02/03.
Dot code is 030.162.014 and case # is 05465**.

Thanks,
Ashkar.

DOL UPDATE - 10/02/03
CN RD DOT CODE STATUS UPDATED ON
O5426039 8/19 030.062-010 Certified October 2,03
O5426040 8/19 030.062-010 Certified October 2,03
O5426042 8/19 030.062-010 Certified October 2,03

Not Yet Processed

All other dates greater than my date is getting certified. Now it is a real concern for me.

My DOL RD is 18-Aug-2003 DOT 030.162.014 Case No 0542601* . Does this create so much difference in processing dates. Some cases on the same day are certified

Re: Notice Of Findings

Guys,

Here is the latest update on my case (kind of good news for me). My attorney contacted the DOL again and this is what she just emailed me...

"I just spoke with an analyst at the Department of Labor. We were misinformed the first time I contacted them. Your Application DOES NOT have a Notice of Findings. Your Application is being assigned to an analyst at this time. We will keep you informed of the progress.

I apologize for the alarm. I am glad, however, to be the bearer of better news this time. "

I am hoping for the good news this time.

My case (RIR/EB3) received at Chicago DOL on 6/3/2003. After waiting until 9/10/2003, our attorney called the DOL and requested the status of teh case. After calling daily for 4 or 5 days, the DOL contact told our attorney on 9/15/2003 that the case was delayed due to a Notice Of Findings and the information will be sent to our attorney office. But, we did not receive anything so far from the DOL and the AVM still says the case is pending (Received).

Does anybody know whether the AVM will be updated in case of NOF?
What is the average timeframe to receive the information from DOL incase of NOF?
Is there a possibility that my case is lost and the DOL is buying time to track it by saying that there is NOF? I am asking this because they could not give any information until 4 days when we contacted them and then on the 5th day they said there is a NOF.

All your ideas and suggestions are very well appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

Any ideas

I think there are no LC processed with DOT codes with 030.162.014 i dont see any LC processed with 030.162.014 during Aug01 to Aug-20
