I used both employer Tax ID and employer telephone # in my separate email to the DOL. Both of them worked. But my case is not in the system yet. I also got fewer response by using emploer telephone #.

Hi Guys,

Since some of our cases moved to the DOL during march. Is it a good idea to complete the medical exam before being certified from the DOl or there is any problem doing it early?

what are the pros and cons here? Shed some suggestions.....

Computer Professionals !!!!!!

Just wondering if Boston DoL has approved any computer professional LCs lately... If so, would like to know how long they are taking to certify them once received ?

Mine is EB2-RIR.

Nothing from the attorney yet. Nor anything important from DOL email or AVM.

I dont know how long does it take for our cases to get into the DOL system.

I dont think any of our case is in their system yet.

Anybody knows how long will it take.......

Is there any info on what data DOL is processing all the NON-RIR applications it received.

You have updated your status as denied. Does it mean RIR denied and your case goes back to SESA for regular processing. Are you in computer industry.

I am surprised why your has not yet moved to DOL. Are u computer professional or there is any other reason to it.

I am a computer professional. My company just yesterday said that they got a query and has responded to SESA but refused to give what was the query and how they responded.

So assuming that may be SESA is evaluating the response.

Since its a big company its difficult to get more details from them.
 
RIR's with DOT code for Software engineer getting denied

Guys,

After reading the forums and also talking to my company people, it looks like RIR's with DOT code 030.062-010 (Software Engineer) will be denied at the DOL.

My company also fees its better for the case to be in SESA for somemore time, till things get settled regarding the economy and the war, rather than going to DOL and being denied.

Since my case is still with SESA, am not even sure what DOT code it will be assigned to.

After an agonizing long (over an year) wait, that is indeed a terrible news for me (and others applying for computer related professions)...

I am no longer eager to know the outcome from DoL.. :(

Can DoL deny an application without issuing a NOF? I was expecting them to issue a NOF prior to moving a RIR applicaiton into a non-RIR stream ...

Any ideas?
 
Before denying the RIR they do not have to issue a NOF if they feel that the evidence provided by the company does not substantiate the demand for an RIR application. So..
Folks, Do let me know if any of the RIR cases with a software
tail attached gets approved
 
Sorry to hear about your case denial dengolfi.

Just spoke with a lady in the DOL. She said that they are entering the cases received on 19th and 20th of march, 2003. I guess all of our cases will be entered into the system in one week time.

She asked me to call back after a week to get the case number. She also mentioned that all cases are different, so the approval times varies from case to case.

so guys just hope for the best........

I spoke with a lady yesterday afternoon (probably the same one you did).Yes! She told me the same thing.I am hopeful that by 25th of this month our(non computer professionals like you and me) Case will be certified.

It is true that DOL has different criteria for computer professionals as there has been massive layoff across US.

Just hope for the best. We will call them in a week time and see what they have to say.

You never know what is going to happen until we get certified..

The only DoL contact # I have is 617-788-0171 which is AVM.

You can use 617-788-0152 in between 2-5pm to talk with an operator.
