Boston Regional DOL Tracker

LET US ALL KNOW IF ANY ONE GETS CERTIFIED

Jalma:

All my company folks got approved between 2 days/ 2 weeks.Let's see what happens to me.

I understand DOL Boston is processing case very promptly these days.Hope this will be true to all of us.Keep us posted as soon as anyone hears from DOL.

If regional office processes the applications in 2days/weeks, why would the current processing dates of regional (Boston) DoL website indicate the following..

Boston : June 2002 (non RIR)
Oct. 2002 (RIR)

I don't know about you computer professionals but in my field (chemistry) and particularly in my company for last 4 cases received whithin last 3 months by DOL . It has not taken more than 2 weeks for DOL to certify cases once they are in their system.

Who knows I might be the unlucky one .

FYI:

MA SESA + DOL BOSTON WEBSITE /AVM ARE ALWAYS INACCURATE WITH REGARDS TO PROCESSING DATES> SO DON"T ALWAYS RELY ON THEM.

zbcx123,

Even though the DOL website is indicating October, 2002 (RIR), u can see the list I had given above showed that the cases of January also got their approval.

I would rather trust the information provided by other pals rather than the DOL website. So lets hope for the quick response....

Good luck everybody.. Keep updating this forum as soon as you heard anything from the DOL.

:)

DOL RD 12/10/2002

Hi Guys

Mine is EB2 (NON-RIR).case No 01327***.DOT Code : 030.162-***. The field is Software Professional.

My Case has been received at DOL on 12/10/2002 .
It is almost 4 months now. when i spoke to the lady at DOL which was last week she said it is gonna take another 4 months to process.

But i see some postings that there were cases where DOL took only 2 days to 2 weeks to process. That's incredible.

does anybody know why is that?? (is that cause of non software related job )

You are right. Except for software professionals all other cases are cleared quickly by DOL.

I think they should get instructions from DOL HQ to start approving software cases. Till then, they will try to issue NOF's or if the case is perfect, they will just keep it.

insat123

how long they are going to keep it ?? (assuming that case is perfect) Are there guidelines they follow and it is just the mercy of the case officer??

Hi Guys,

What i dont understand is that "DOL do not typically notify the attorney when they assign a case number."
So how the people in this forum are getting their case numbers. I am confused now..............

All attornies are alike. They don't even know how applicants get case numbers. We send email to:- lcstatus01@doleta.gov with our employer tel number and if there are any cases related to our company it shows and also we can call 617-788-0171 and our employer telephone number and get messages about approvals of that particular company.Explain to your lawyer how we get the case numbers once they are in the DOL system. My attorney has the same problem.I am going to give hime the case number once it shows in DOL system. He is having hard time believing me.

Pipladi,

Yes, you are right about the attorneys. Anyway let us know if you find anything about your case from the DOL.

I can't reach DOL only by giving my employer telephone number. Is is possible to get the info. via email by giving ur employer tax ID

Jalma and pipaldi

u can send e-mail to DOL by employer Tax id and can get the info on u r case. But in order to know which case is u r's u have to ask u r attoreny if u know what i mean.

ex: dol will list all the cases under that employer which includes certified and received cases.so if there are 10 cases from u r employer how will u kno which one is u r's .so far that u can ask u r employer info like salary and position that way atleast u will kno w which case is u rs'

i am posting some of the info i got from the DOL Since i know that
mine was only the case which was peniding i could tell my case no.

i am taking senstive info and replacing it with **. i hope u guys get the idea.

Below is the e-mail from DOL

This E-mail is generated by an automated E-mail reply system.

Jalma,

Yes, you can query the cases by Employer Tax id too.. Here is the format I used in the subject of the email:

Employer Tax ID # 123-456-789

All the best...

Guys:

I get better results by putting my employer telephone number as oppose to TX ID #.

However, my case is straight forward as out of 4 current cases from my company 3 had already been certified in last six weeks. So I am the only one with pending case.I will keep you all posted if I hear anything.

Pipladi,

You are correct, but in cases like mine, we are not sure which phone number (HR, attorney, mine,...) to use ...
It gets even more complicated when the company is part of a group of companies..

Btw, is the phone number you are checking the one you mentioned in the labor application?

Thanks everybody for the information.

Yes, its really hard to know for me what is my employer telephone number as the university uses so many numbers to contact. I tried different numbers, none of them worked. I might need to ask my attroney which number he used in my case.

As far sending email to the DOL is concerned, just writing employer Tax ID in the "subject column" will do or do we need to write something in the "Text" column. Please do clarify.

Are we getting the same information via telephone as we are getting through email as far number of cases certified or pending are concerned or is it different. Please clarify.....

Jalma,

You can leave the "Subject Field" empty. You are supposed to give the taxid/phone number in the actual body of the email...

My case ( RIR )is in Boston Regional Office. My lawyer told me that Received Date there is 02/25/2003. When I tried with e-mail inquiry ( by giving employer TaxID ) I got following message in Current Status field =>

Returned by State after Remand On 03/12/2003.

Does anyone know what does it mean ?

Also is there any change when you use Phone number instead of TaxID ?
My DOT Code starts with 999. Does it mean it is RIR ?

Thanks
