Boston Regional DOL Tracker

jolpot,

We saw cases here being certified even before showing up in the DOL AVM system. But being a software case, it may take longer time. Can you tell what's ur PD and from which SESA u applied for.

insat123...the abc's first ;)

Whats a PD?
(date SESA forwarded to fed??? - mar26'03)

and what do you mean which SESA?
its Boston DOL that i look up the processing times...

Thanks,

Thanks guys.

I am hoping to see all of you in I-140/485 forum. Especially pipladi, zbcx, and insat.

Jolpot,

There are many different state labor dept (SESA) under Boston DOL like MA, CT, MA, Maine, Vermont, RI etc. You SESA will be in which state you file your labor certification.

PD is the Priority date. The date SESA received your application and assigned you a case number.

Good luck

Jalma:

Thanks for your kind words. Hopefully we will join you soon All the best for your I-140/485 processing.Keep in touch.we will miss you.

jolpot,

The AVM phone number for Boston DOL : 617 788 0171. Here if you know your case number or your Employer Phone Number (which they specified in the Labor Cert form) can be used to look for ur case.

Another way is email and the address is: LCSTATUS01@doleta.gov

The syntax to request case status follows:
Leave Subject blank.

In the body of the message type:

Case YourCaseNumber for example:
Case 12345678

- AND / OR -

Employer Phone EmployerPhoneNumber for example:
Employer Phone (202) 555-1212

- AND / OR -

Tax ID EmployerTaxID for example:
Tax ID 12-3456789

Thanks, my PD is jul26'02. How does this have any bearing on the federal leg of labor certification?

I just came to know from my attorney that DoL has denied my RIR labor application citing that their are enough available workers. Our company has decided to process this as a non-RIR case.

All the best...

I am really sorry to hear about your denail zbcx123. Will you be staring it from the scratch or is there a way to compensate the time you spend on RIR.

Well I hope you will have a better luck in non-RIR and who knows the work situation may improve alot at that time....

keep your hopes alive.

Info pls...

zbcx123, sorry to hear the news...but your PD remains the same from what i know...only thing is it will be delayed by a few more months!

ppl, I called 617 788 0171 and it fails to identify my companys direct number, what should i infer from this?

Thanks again,

jolpot,

By all probability your case might have been processed by now. Its just not reflecting in AVM... Keep checking with your attorney for updates from DoL..

Whil I will be retaining my PD, does anyone know on what basis does SESA issues the time period for the company to place the advertisement?? Does it have anything to do with PD???

All the best..

zbcx123,

Sorry to hear about your case. But believe me, this is what is going to happen to my case also. They are not going to allow RIR for software engineers, unless they get a different direction from DC , which is most unlikely with the kind of job market reports we are getting every week.

I will also try to collect information like, what's the procedure for converting RIR to non RIR and how things work.

Keep in touch!!!

insat,

Keep your hopes alive. I have heard about a few Software Engineer RIR cases which got certified (with a NOF, though).

All the best and keep in touch..

keep your hopes up

Hello Everyone,

I just wanted to share my experience with this forum and hope it will boost everyone's hope.

My RIR got approved this week (after a NOF). The PD was June 2001 and Boston DOL had received my application in Jan 2003. I don't have specific information like job code, etc. (since the attorney never gave it to me) but all I know is that it took a while to get approved but eventually it did get approved.

I know its nerve racking, so I thought to share this with everyone just to let you all know that RIR cases are getting approved.

best of luck to everyone.

goingcrazy (trust me I had already gone crazy)

Hi,

I applied my State labor in 10/2001 (EB3). Sent to Phily DOL on 1/2003. DOL back to SESA regarding the Requirement of new advertising for the job in 3/2003.

Now Sesa says they notified my laywer for the new job advertisement clipping.

My Quesion:

1. Once they receive the new advertisement response from my lawyer, what is the usual process take place?

2. In this scenario, do I have to start the process from the beginning or they SESA will verify the lawyer's response and forward it to DOL?

3. Once Phily DOL Receive the response, how do they process? Do I have to wait again in the queue or they will give some preference?

I am desperatly looking for answer for my above queries. Thanks in advance for you guys taking some time to respond.

Thanks

My LC application was filed in Jan 2003 under RIR EB2 category. Does anyone know what is the tentative timeframe it might take for EB2 category processing? I am guessing it will be a min of 12 months before it is cleared.

Also my company had layoffs in similar positions after my LC application was filed. I am not sure what sort of impact it will have on my application.

Any information in this regard will be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

are you in RIR or Non-RIR ??. I heard on MA SESA's answering service that they are processing 23 Feb - 23 MArch for Non-RIR.

Thanks.

moved from state on 03/31. not found in AVM

My case moved from state on March 31. I spoke to the officer in state office and confirmed it. But it is not found in BOSTON region AVM till today. How long it is taking to them to show our case in their system.
