Hi I had a similar issue for an RFE. There is a comapny run by ttk services pvt lts who will do it for you from India and in about 3 week's time.Their web site is www.yourmaninindia.com and they charge about $150.00 + mailing per Certificate. You may want to try this offer if you have about 4 weeks of time or get it early by paying more !!!!gcwait2002 said:Hi,
I don't have a birth certificate and I had sent 2 affidavits (Signed my parents in Rs 10 Stamp Paper and notarised) to our attorney for review. Below is the response from the Immigration Specialist. Is this valid or not? I just have a few months (4 months) in my H1 and i'm wondering whether it is a must to get it from the local magistrate.
"Because you were both born after the time that registration of birth was required(1970), we will need either a copy of your birth certificates or an affidavit from the local magistrate indicating birth certificates are not available."
If the issue date of birth certificate is 1999(registration date), then it's better to have 2 affidavits from close relatives(not father and mother)avnapa said:Hi there,

My birth year is 1974 but My parent registered my birth in the year 2004 in Government office(Muncipal corporation). Birth certificate issued by govenement office says birth date registration as 2004. Do I have to submit any additional evidance to avoid Birth Certificate RFE at 485 stage because it was registered in 2004 rather then 1974 in government office?
Thanks for your time.

I have a birth certificate which has most details - date of birth, father's name. It is missing my name since I was not named at the time the birth was recorded.
I have obtained an affidavit from my parents (notarized). Will the birth cert.(without name) and affidavit be sufficient or will I have to provide any other document ? I cannot provide non-availability certificate as my birth certificate is available - just that it doesn't have my name on it.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Hi dsugandhi,
I am in the same boat? What did you do? Did you get any additional affidavits?
My year of birth is 74 but i have a BC that my parents got from the municipality of my birth city in 2003.
Will I need any additional documents?
Please let me know.
Thanks
Hi Gurus,
Need some help/input.
Got this message in USCIS website re: my case.
"On May 18, 2007, the post office returned our last written notice on this case as undeliverable. This can have serious effects on the processing of this case. Please call 1-800-375-5283 to update the mailing address so this notice can be re-sent."
I have received notices re: my case (I-485) before at this mailing address. Too late in the weekend to call...anyone had a similar situation before?
Also, what could this notice be? I am just paranoid. Just did my FP last week (that notice made it fine)...
Thanks guys
