Visa visa office. The informed me that my Visa has been approved today.

DC 09/05
Approval 11/14.

No information on when we will get back the passport.

I dont want to say anything to you. I was just kidding, and you took it seriously.
Anyway, was your visa printed today itself? And didnt they do any quality assurance check on yours before sending it?

If you were kidding - sorry I mistook it. I believe it was stamped around Nov 10 or Nov 11(just a guess) - that is why is it on its way back. Also not all PP get a QA check.

I did not check with phone as I do not want to disturb them - others are in queue too and that sooner or later I will see what is in there.

My analysis has been almost correct to a day or two. I believe your PP will reach you by Mon or Tuesday. All the best!!! Update the thread when you get it.

got it!

Dear folks,

I called and she told me that my visa was stamped yesterday and I
should get it very soon. I will check my UPS. I'm very happy cause I
made a corretion to DS156 through fax. I have been worrying about it.
Stamped means it has been printed, right? Cause last Friday she was
mentioning my error would only be found when they print my visa. But
anyway, I have corrected it already.

I called UPS to schedule a pickup for Washington DC office on Monday. I'm helping them to call UPS :D...... I guess Fedex is easier

SL: 06 AUG
DC: 29 AUG
VISA ISSUED: 08 NOV (SATURDAY) This is the date on my visa.
VISA PRINTED: 11 NOV
PP RECIEVED: 13 NOV

Call to DC on Monday - Sep 8th DC Date !

Hi,

I don't want to call them as of now, because sep,5th guys were more important today. So now just we know that most of the sep 5th cases are done.

We can go ahead do that as vallabhu said on Monday evening. That too any one of the sep 8th guys can call and go ahead. What you say vallabhu??

This is all to minimize the amount of calls.

something funny happened, when i called them this afternoon. when i asked the woman about my case, she was like, didnt u just call? i said, no. she was like, may be it was ur wife called about ur case. i said, no i am not married. i wonder, who could be interested in my case :)

Visa & Ticket

Guys:

SL DATE : Aug 25, 2003
DC DATE: SEP 29 2003

As you guys are expert and all are watching closely about the visa processing dates and I hope you will be able to help me here...

I have booked tickets for me and family to goto India On Dec 13, 2003. My question is, will I get my PP before 12th Dec? (considering thanksgiving holidays)

If I cancel the tickets by monday (11/17), I will be loosing only a fraction of the money.. but if I wait for couple of days.. I will be loosing everything...

Any answer would hep...

It would be too close. You are almost at the borderline. I would have got tickets cancelled as the dates do not leave any room for getting errors(if any) fixed.

Just a suggestion

vallabhu,

I think Wednesday would be a good time to call as Sept 05, 2003 has lots of cases(I would take this thread as sample.). Monday, I believe,would be mostly taken by 05 Sept and some of 08 Sept cases. So Tuesday and Wednesday they will be working on Sept 08, 2003 cases.

You will, however, as per my understanding get it stamped on Monday afternoon or Tuesday before noon.

I called on Wednesday to check my status she said the visa had been approved on Monday Nov-10th. How long do you think it will take to get my Visa back?? this wait is killing me!!! :mad:

Should I call them again and ask the status or simply just wait?

Any suggestions?

As per my opinion you should get by 10th Dec. But it seems very critical in your case as due to holidays in between, it might get delayed.
Why don't you postpone your trip by a week or so. That would ease some of your pressure ...
