As you know according to a visa specialist at State Dept. my visa was approved on 11/7/03. But when I called today she said that they are still waiting for it to be stamped. I am assuming that their process of approving and stamping is out of sink. She said I should get my passport in week or so.

I hope you get it back soon cause you have made travel plans.

Frustrating - very frustrating. They take months to find out if all the papers match. Even a snail would give up against these ppl.

is it your guess that they may have worked on sep 03 and 04 cases today, or you know for sure. And also, do u know anybody, whose DC date was sep 03 or 04?

My experience has been that whatever date they give is usually one which is sent for stamping and is posted.

That is why I feel so.

I dont think, folks who answer your calls, are the ones who work on cases. And also, unless we call, we can never track the progress of cases. I am going to be in trouble, if I dont get my PP back in time. Hope, you understand that.

We must followup for to maintain proper tracker.

I called in the morning and and she told me they are doing 1st week of Sept'03 but did not give any specific dates.

The people who answer our calls are the ones working on them... because i checked this with a lady who answered the call & who was courteous enough to answer this silly Q..

Well, may be possible. But I wonder why number of times they dont know which dates cases are being processed. Or may be they do, but dont want to tell us for some stupid reasons.

Krr72 is right they dont have a diff customer service , but some some reps give such weird answers which make us think they have a seperate team.

Let not every one of us call every day, but the person who is close to expecting his PP should call to update the status so we can keep track and person also knows his status and will be releived, but I think Manish should wait till evening and call them aroud 3:00 PM EST.

I recieved my passport today along with my wifes. In my wife's H4 visa my name iss wrongly spelled. This is under the annotation section of the visa.

Yes, I called yesterday and my visa was approved on Nov 10th, but the woman said that it may take some days before I get it, because is in line for printing.
So, we just have to keep waiting.... as usual!!

Looks like they started working on sep 02 cases long ago, may be on Nov. 7. And they approved couple of sep 02 case in last 2 days. I wonder if they go in an order, or just pick up cases from a pile of PPs.
