No movement in Aug 2003
Why is there no movement in Aug 2003 cases at all? Thats so frustrating.

I have been scanning cases with ND same as mine (08/19/03)
The results are:
Cases scanned = 54
Approved = 16 (29.63 %). Out of these 15 approvals have been in Jan 05 through April 05, with only 1 approval in Oct 04.
RFE sent: 3. (5.55 %) Dates are 4/8/2005, 3/24/2005 and 4/21/2005
RFE Rcvd: 1 (1.85 %) on 4/4/2005
FP Done: 9 (16.66 %) All were in May 2004 thru July 2004.
Received: 7 (12.96 %)
Misc : 12 (22.22 %) Out of these 9 are in April 2005.
Transfered: 6 (11.11 %)
Attached is the spreadsheet.

RFE received
I received an RFE for my I-485. Received an email today that RFE was sent on May 9th. I will update once I get the details.
But this is good news, atleast my case is now ready to be processed. Also I had this feeling since last month or so that August 2003 filers are going to hear news about their cases. The feeling did prove true, atleast in my case.

For that you have to run the macro on the attached spreadsheet. It will prompt you for year-day and series of cases that you want to scan. e.g. year and date could be 04-245 and series can be 50000-59999. I just scanned for cases with same ND as me.

I ran the macro about couple of hours ago and now I logged in to my USCIS case status to check my portfolio (LIN numbers) and got the following message...is this unusual? any issues becasue of this?
It was reported to us that your IP address or internet gateway has been locked out for a select period of time. This is due to an unusually high rate of use. In order to avoid this issue please take this opportunity to create a Customer account (single applicant) or a Representative account (representing many individuals, such as lawyers, charitable groups, or corporations). Each account allows you to generate a Portfolio of receipt numbers.
Building a portfolio containing your receipt number(s) eliminates your need to manually enter the receipt number and extract each case status. You will automatically be emailed changes to each case as updates occur. This email notification will occur within 12 to 24 hours of any progress made for every receipt number contained in your portfolio.There is no lockout feature associated with your portfolio and there is no wasted time on your part checking a receipt number where no advancement has been made.

I should have mentioned this to you, but this does happen. Because you scanned too many cases the IP will be blocked for 24 hrs. Its not a big issue, just that you will not be able to scan/check status from the same computer till the next day. Sorry for not mentioning this earlier. You can always check status from a different PC (has to have a different IP). Don't worry.

Sent H1 renewal plus EAD copies to Lawyer, who promised to reply to USCIS by 19-May-2005, but eventually replied on 23-May-2005 !

Applying EAD and AP.
You can do e-filing or send the application by mail. I did e-filing and it was easy.
Log into the e-filing(USCIS website) select the application fill in all the details and pay the fee by credit card. You will get the receipt right away. With the receipt number call the 1800 number take an appointment for bio-meterics(FP,PHOTO and Signature) at the APS Centre and send all the supporting documents by mail including the copy of e-filing receipt.
Please let me know if you need any more details.
