N400 - Fingerprinting again
Hi All,
Me and my wife\'s PD is 11/2000 ( yes! year 2000 ) and we were fingerprinted once in 12/2000. We recd a re-fingerprinting notice from INS on May 10th asking us to appear again in 6/2002. Unfortunately, we would be out of the country during that week and could not change our plans at the last minute.
We wrote back to INS asking to reschedule. We also called the support number mentioned on the notice. They informed us that this could delay our application by a year.
To our surprise, 5 days after sending a rescheduling request to INS, we received a reply from INS ASC in atlanta with a new fingerprinting date for both of us. This time my wife was asked to come on August 3rd week and me on September 1st week. Hopefully, the process would be completed soon from here on.
I have found this website to be of immense help in my quest to get more information about the N400 processing in Atlanta. I hope this information may be of use to someone who may be in a similar boat as me.
