I know you all are eagerly waiting for decsion on Dec'02 cases. I know it is frustating, but still my case is in RECVD status and don't know how long it will be. Only thing I am worried about is whether I can keep my job (or say project  ) upto I-140 filing or not, coz the situation is scary almost in every field.

We hear you loud and clear. I think all of us feel the same way. It is not only the shaky job/market situation, but many of us cannot get promoted during this whole time or move on to other jobs as it would complicate matters. Our hands are tied during this whole duration.

I will be very glad when prosix, pashwin and the other December guys get their approval for that is a sure sign that things are finally picking up after the long holidays.

ATL DOL - hello, can you hear me now?
;)

Labor Unknown-
I will do the numbers for the first gap that you have in the first part of data.
:)
Keep up the good work,

Re: Labor Unknown

I appreciate everyones effort here. This is just an advise to make the status file more meaningful.

What I would suggest is, Lets start with 04395501 to 04396501, i.e 1000 numbers. Each of us can take one slot

1- 04395501 to 04395600
2- 04395601 to 04395700
3- 04395701 to 04395800
4- 04395801 to 04395900
5- 04395901 to 04396000
6- 04396001 to 04396100
7- 04396101 to 04396200
8- 04396201 to 04396300
9- 04396301 to 04396400
10-04396401 to 04396500

Eliminate the Certified and Denied statuses Because we don't care about them anyways. First time we have to check for all 100 numbers, but for next time just check on the remaining ones and update the file. This will shorten our list.

I am too busy in my projects and other thing. As soon as I am little free I will help you guys.

I don't mind if you don't like it, It is just an opinion. What say ???

Thanks a lot everybody

All, Thanks a lot for your support!!!

I think as when we track numbers from AVM we listen all the Information so why not to show all the Information here...

Yes, I'm quite aggreed with the size of the file...

Once we are able to track the first 1000 Numbers then we can
delete the records by 500 numbers and keep the rest 500 hundreds for the other forum members and also it will take some to reach the numbers..

And as we can not force anyone on this forum; It's everyone's
own desire and responsibilty, If he want to contribute
then Just pick his numbers and update the status file and upload it; But Don't go way too far to 0440....numbers.

And Please leave the gap there as anyone can understand whats going on...

Thank you for your support and patience...

Talked to Atlanta DOL

Just called Atlanta DOL; She told me, They are processing
Applications received by Nov and Dec '02.

I said: That means Nov is still not finished
She said : That's what I said..

Question : Does anybody know EXACTLY the "components" of DOT code? How to interpret them? which first 3 characters indicate RIR? etc?

i dont believe the dot code can tell you about thr rir status

If you explore the stated web-site further, it gives you a feel of the job description and the type of matching skills for the job. I would think it helps the certifying officer to match jobs and qualification/skills. I'd wish I'd known about this before I posted the ads for the LCA.:(

NII,

http://online.onetcenter.org/gen_crosswalk_page.html

is too good to find. This way we could find out howmany people have applied for Labor in same/similar category.

If we carefully monitor the rejected cases and their DOT codes and compare to your own DOT code, you will notice that most of s/w were not rejected, which is a very good NEWS.

Most of the cases which were approved in RANDOM also does not fall under s/w category. That is why DOL person have been saying that they processed applications (not in the order of Receipt date) which are straight forward and are with clear approval information.

Unfortunately we (s/w field) have to wait for our dates to come OR be very lucky.

Thanks

Hi Guys,

Want to add one more to the list of cases being tracked here. My application at ATL DOL has a received date of 03/24/03. My DOL code is 030.062-010.

Good luck to everyone
ATL03

Guess What!!!! Still says has been received on 17 dec'02 :D

Not a single approval from ATL dol. On the other side, good news is that I-140 approval is almost freezing at our other topmost TEXAS center.

I know it is very hard to say, but there seems to be a very little hope, that we would be able to pass all three stage during our US life span.

anyway good luck all labor seekers...

Prosix,

Don't get frustated just by looking at "Telephone Information Retrieval System" responses.

YES. They do update the system everyday morning at 5AM.

But, they update with cases that were approved and "data entry" is made. And they may not do "Data entry" of the approved application on the same day of approval. We are talking about DOL, which is understaffed at this point (considering the number of applciations received per month).

So, your case may already been approved and not updated the system yet.

FACT: It takes weeks before the approval state is entered into "automated system".
