AVM Status Analysis

We can alternatively use the attached excel file for our analysis if you'd like.

I don't have excel....

I don't have Excel to open the xls file...Could you please still use txt file? Thanks a lot!

Thanks Mito

Hi Mito, Thanks a lot for updating the Status.txt and status.xls.

Please see my response to your queries.

1- Why do some of the case numbers have the identical info including even the DOT code? Excuse my lack of knowledge if the answer is obvious.

Response: That's possisble. Two persons can have the same DOT code and same received/ adjuicate dates; But can not have the same case number. So, Case number is key here which is assigened to each case.

2- Who will do the analysis on the status.txt file we are gathering info for. If someone gives me a lead on this I volunteer in working on this too.

Response: As as far as I understand, Anybody can do analysis on this file So, No question about who..

But I would request to everyone please post your analysis result only once a week not everyday..

And besides analysis, Please update the Status.txt file. whatever case numbers you are tracking.

3- What other case numbers should we consider additionally?

Response: I am welcoming all the suggestions here..

But I would recommed we should not break the serial numbers..

I had given you some serial numbers after the gap of 50 numbers, because I will track and post some of the number below that and also expect someone else to post these numbers..

But I would not suggest to go beyond more than 100 numbers at a time when we have not finished the current 100..

And Please as you said, You can also post the excel sheet once a week ( Say Saturday/Sunday ), But please keep "Status.txt" file updated as well because some of our readers probably may not excel.

Thanks,
LaborUnknown..

I am new on this Forum/Board

Hi guys,

I am a green horn on this forum but feel that you guys are doing a great job of connecting and sharing useful information.

Here are the details of my case, please guide me initially as to where I fit in and what can I do to further my own and the collective cause:

- GC documents filed with Atlanta DOL: July'01
- File transferred from Atlanta DOL to Federal DOL: Feb'03

Is it correct that while our GC application is pending with the DOL, we can not take a promotion? if we do we have to resubmit our GC application ab-initio.

Thanks in advance for your help guys.

Sanjay

Hi Sanjay,

You are confusing termonologies. When you say Atlanta DOL, I think it is the state SESA. There is no single Federal DOL. The DOL is divided into 9 divisions. The one you are concerned about is Atlanta DOL.

It is correct that under the older restrictions that you cannot and should not take a promotion. But with AC21, you should be able to take promotions with minor changes, like for example from Software Engineer to Sr. Senior Software Engineer, etc. But changes from Software Engineer to Project Manager may cause denial even AC21 portability. So the answer to your question is it depends on your case, and more importantly the capability of your lawyer.

Hopefully this helps.

Hi guys,

To the people asking for lawsuits against SESA/DOL

Check this out ->

I take my hat off to them and wish them well. ATL DOL should get something like this and perhaps jolt them out of their comfortable chairs and their snail processing efforts. My attorney tried calling them up earlier as it has been a year since my LCA and a colleague's was submitted and got talking to a disgruntled worker who was to a point of being rude. She indicated that they lack certifying officers for the LCA processing. I hope all this litigation including the one spearheaded by Rajiv Khanna, is sending them messages to expedite the processing.

Life is now one big wait

They only update it only at their convenience. You guys might have seen updations in Oct and Nov.

Dont want to sound cynical, but that is the truth.

Thanks Rajeev,

As I said that I am pretty naive in the terminologies here but I hope you got the facts of my case.

Another thing is that my Case # is GA 017027. When I call the number given elsewhere in this thread, they say that could not find this number. I have copy of DOL's document which states the following facts:
Case #: GA 017027
Received by Georgia Department of Labor: 07/23/2001
Transmitted to U.S. Department of Labor: 02/06/2003

I am wondering that if anyone can guide me as to how to track the progress of my case.

Stay connected...

Hi Sharma,

The case number at SESA is different from the one at the Federal DOL.

You can call 404-562-2131, and enter "1" the first time, "2" the next time. If you use your employer's telephone number, you should be able to find your case.

If your employer sponsors more than one Labor at Atlanta DOL, then keep on entering "2" for the next case status.

Write all the case num in the paper, and figure out your case, by the date your case was forwarded to DOL (02/06/2003, in your case).

DESIDON777-

They are not supporting e-mail status check anymore. Not only ATL DOL, all the other DOLs too.
