once your case is received by ATL, do they send ack receipt indicating case # to the lawyer? My lawyer didn\'t get anything from ATL.

actually, SESA sends your lawyer the letter that your case is transferred to ATL office.you can check later your RD through AVM(which is now ,i think, not available(i don\'t know why))
 
LC @ Atalanta DOL?

My case was forwarded to Atalanta DOL on March 28th, I wonder when I can get approval. Since my I-140 is required additional evdence which is the LC approval letter, I only have 90 days to reply that is August 10th. Can anybody tell me if I am ok or not to meet that date. Thanks.
 
why specific date for I-140

i guess your case should be approved by august. but why you have specific august date for I-140 application?
 
Yes, you can file I-140 along with your LC at the same time.

In this way you speed up your all processing time. INS will ask for you LC later, hopefully by then your LC gets approved.
 
jonelee, questions regarding I-140 application before LC approval

Hi jonelee,
I really appreciate if you can answer my questions.
1. My LC is approved by FL SESA and forwarded to ATL. I am expecting to be approved within 2-3 months. Can I apply for I-140 at this time before LC approval?
2. If I apply for I-140 before LC approval, when INS ask for LC? and if LC is not approved, by chance, then how much time INS give you to submit approved LC?

LC Waiting...

My LC is transfered from florida to atlanta dec/2001..But I haven\'t received the approval yet. ATL DOL is no w processing Jan/2002 ..What should I do.

Please help ?

3 month for you to replay

INS will ask for RFE, which is your LC. They\'ll give you 3 month to replay, so you need to carefully caculate the time, and make sure you\'ll get your LC before the deadline.

you should contact your lawyer and inquire to atl labor. I know couple of friends who applied within your time frame and they are already approved in feb/march.

JONELEE, could you please explain me in detail. when INS issue RFE for LC? at the time when INS receives I-140 application or at the time when INS starts processing I-140 case?
what are your dates for I-140 application and RFE issue?
I expect my LC to be approved within 2-3 months or so. is it ok for me to apply for I-140?
 
INS issue RFE when they process your case

It takes whatever the I-140 processing time is. i.g. for Taxes it takes 5 month.

Processing Dates which are showing at different sites are Priority Dates or DOL receiving Dates ?
