Green Card Process - LC
Hi Guys,
My LC was recieved at DOL Atlanta on 27th Feb, 2002. No response yet. I am in EB2 RIR category.
I would like to know opinions of other people ,who are about to file I 140.
1) Do you guys plan to file I 140/ 485 concurrently .
2) Do you guys plan to do CP ( may be AC 140 ) .
Which option is faster ? How much time it takes ?
My H-1 B six year expiry limit is approaching on Dec 28, 1996.
Labor Card is pending in Atlanta DOL. I am thinking about filing I140 /485 together (hopefully by september ) ,if Labor is approved by this time. I will hopefully get EAD card in next 3 months after filing I 140/485. In this case , I may not file for 7th year extension and I can work on EAD till I get green card.
On the other hand, I do AC 140 consular processing which may be quicker to get green card ( may be 6 months total) . I don't have to wait for long time . But in this case I may have to file 7th year extension as my expiry date of H-1 B is coming soon.
Any suggestions on my case will be appreciated

I actually meant that my case reached Regional office on Feb 26.
This was in reply to a question from someone else earlier.
Am waiting for clearance from DOL as everybody else is!!! Hope to get it soon... now that 4115 mentioned that DOL has started working on Feb cases.

Anybody here has your labor certificate approved and forwarded from Geogia SESA? If so, can you post your priority date when you filed your LC with GA SESA? My case has been stuck there for more than one year. And it seems no progress at all. Terribly frustrating.

some update
Finally I got some response from the voice system of the Atlanta Federal DOL.
My case has been filed with Florida DOL on 03/2001 in EB3 non RIR.
The case was transferred form FL to ATL on 2/28/02 and I had no response from the voice system until today. According to the voice system it has been received on 03/07/02 by Atlanta. It gave me two numbers as well. (what are those anyone?)
It did not say anything else like aprooved or rejected etc.... just the fact that it has been received...
Anyone knows what that means?
