Finally got the approval

Pradeep139 - 07:47pm Jan 15, 2002 EST

Hi Everyone
Finally I got the letter from INS for approval of my I-485. Going to
SFO next week for stamping.
My details are as follows:
WAC-01-202--------
RD 04-17-2001
ND 06-04-2001
FP done on 11-2-2001 Oakland.
485 approved on 01-10-2002.

San Jose INS lines

I plan to go stamp my passport tomorrow at the INS office. How are the lines at the San Jose office nowadays ? Do I still need to go at 4am ?

Thanks in advance.

I-485 approved.

Hi all,

Finally, heard the message. I\'ve posted in detail in the main
thread (under I-485)

I\'m sure you all should be seeing your approvals in this week.

All the best - hang in there, it\'s on it\'s way.

Any pointers on PP stamping ie docs needed etc? thanks,
cheers,

Approval is also based on FP date

Looks like Nov 1st week FPiers are getting their approval now.

It looks like FP date and the return of all reports from background check , does an important role in 485 approval.

Not to sure

Hi,

I am an April 4th RD, April 20 ND and Aug. 17 (on schedule) FP and haven\'t seen any change in even the AVM message.
I don\'t think there is any order to the cases being processed :-(

-bluelotus
ps: PD Dec 1997 ( been waiting for a long time :-(

AVM "On Dec 29th"

I see very slow I-485 approval for April thread after AVM "On Dec 29th". Also I notice completely random approval happening one or two a week. Is there any specific reason ? Anyone has any input?

Also when i talked to IIO yesterday....she seems to tell that only Jan 2001 applications are processes now not anything after. But we know there are April 2001 cases getting approved. Anyone know whats going in INS or the process ?

Thanks.

Possible reasons ?!!

Hi all,

I did not want to start up this for all these days.
But since my patience is also tested too much, I am
hereby presenting my thinking and soliciting your
feelings about it.

1. Given that there is some tension piling up in the
borders of India and Pakistan, and that majority of
the GC applicants, at least on this board, are from
these countries, would it be that INS is stalling to
see what is next in that area ?

2. Since USA is anticipating retaliations from terrorist
network not only from outside USA, but also from inside USA,
DOJ wants to do checks after checks on all our pending
applications, thereby further delaying the GC approval process ?!

At any rate, INS must have sensed that it is going to
further delay the approvals and that is why to pacify all
restless GC applicants they have put a generic "On Dec 29th .."
kind of AVM. Initially, we all were carried away by the message.
Thought some action is going on with our pending cases and we
will hear approvals soon. But now slowly we are realizing that
this is one of the games of INS.

My apologies to sound a bit pessimistic. I hope and pray that
we discuss on this issue with at most decency, as DOJ is watching
our discussions very closely.

God, please help us. Because, we aliens too, trust in You.

Any new AVM change reports ?

Hi All, Lets keep the discussion alive. Seems like everyone is sick of hearing the message "On Dec 29th .....". I hope positive message is coming soon for all of us.

Regards,
bwbala

Pray for peace but it has nothing to do with INS

Don\'t allow the paranoia to get the best of you....I\'m from Europe and still at the famous "12/29 Process resumed.....". Let\'s be positive and think about easons such as INS holidays etc. It will be soon our time brothers.

By the way, let\'s hope for peace!

My friend got approval

RD-04/18
ND-06/18
WAC-01-216
FP-done on Nov 27(as scheduled)
AD-01/15
Received in mail on 19 jan.
message directly changed to processing resumed.

Even "September/October" thread the AVM has changed to "on Jan 9th .....

Even in "September/October 2001" thread the AVM has changed to "on Jan 9th .....and AOS process resumed". The only difference between us (April thread) and them is only 10 days (we have on Dec 29th). This is really not a fair process.

Anyone has any input why the INS is doing FP process so fast to all of us and keep everyone WAITING in resumed stage for so long?

By looking at the tracking record,

I would say that approve date has a lot to do with RD rather than FP date. About half of the April RDs got approved and only 10% May RDs got approved.
So don\'t worry, just sit back and relax. Your day will come soon.

No Title

Bala Jeyabalan,

Answer to your question is INS is getting efficient (at least trying).

FPs are just requirement for AOS, but please do not get carried away with CSC\'s past practice that when the case is adjucation ready then only they send for FPs. Like Medical checkup (if you file them along with I-485 application you are fine, if not you will get RFE and will take a bit longer to approve your AOS), this is one another checkup that is required. In the past this FP process slowed the AOS stage somewhat. Now INS decided to do this process well in advance (as soon as possible) so that it won\'t get in the way.
