Anybody left without 140 approval from Oct'03?

rock1,

Any update on your case? Yesterday, my attorney responsed to the RFE.

Today, I saw online message change for both 140 and 485 as well.

Did you see any change to ur 485 when you sent the RFE response for 140?

wantgcasap,

No updates on my case.. There was no change to my 485 LUD when they got the RFE response...again all the best to you..

Also is there any pattern for cases where rfe response has been received and there is no activity for 2 months or so.. does this lead to denial?? I have seen that many get a verdict by 1 month or so..but there a few unlucky cases where even after 2-3 months there is no result...

rock1,

Even i have the same question. If INS takes more than 4-6 weeks to respond to RFE, then it looks like their response may not be favourable.

But we need to confirm this with senior guys over here...
Anybody any views?

Pending - Dec - 2003

I just talk to my layer. he told me it is normal that your I140 is pending. he also mention INS office is coming to NY this week. he is going to discuss all pending cases with him ? do not know it is right or wrong ?

Any comments ?

Responded to RFE on 1/6/05, since then no activity on my account. Pending since 10/17/03, dammmmmmmmmmmn.........

Can't initiate inquiry also as it's been only 30 days since we sent our reply.

Anybody else from Oct'2003?

RFE sent and waiting for response?

wantgcasap,

hang in there...
If INS takes more than 4-6 weeks to respond to RFE, then it looks like their response may not be favourable.
this was certainly not true in my case...since i got the approval finally...and it was on the 60th day after responding to rfe ...the day i could make the enquiry..so all the best

I had sent my response RFE 01/13 and my employer was able to talk to the CSR at the vermont center. They said that they have sent my case for final review on 01/31 and it takes about 45 to 60 days to get a decision from that point.

Not sure what the final review is about, but somewhat comforting that they are working on the case.

rock1,

You did not initiate any inquiry during that 60 day waiting period? Its better if i know the answer sooner whether its approval/denial rather than waiting for a long time and not getting the positive outcome.

Thinking of asking my employer to make a status inquiry as my attorney won't do it unless 60 days period has passed.
