Anybody left without 140 approval from Oct'03?

I can't believe this, ppl who have filed in 2004 are getting approvals.

When i contact Senator/Congressman they are correlating 140 case with 485 and saying that i have to wait one more year to get my turn as the current processing date for 485 is Sep'02.

No way out!!!! Stuck with this damn process. Feel its better to move back to India rather than thinking abt this bloody GC.

Did you make any status inquiries with INS yet? Or did you apply for EAD/AP renewal? Someone in this forum told applying for EAD/AP renewal may trigger 140 approval.

My attorney is going to renew EAD/AP probably this week.

I'll let u all know if there is any positive outcome by doing that.

its all your luck.. appyling for EAD may trigger your 140..but in my case i applied for 2nd EAD it got approved but no changes to 140..however recently i got my FP notice..
 
MY RD is Jan 2003. I am still waiting for 140. Have done FP twice. Basically I am expecting the scenario that 485 is approved without 140 approval. Have given up hope on 140. Heard some people got 485 approved without 140 approval.
 
My EAD/AP renewal was approved this August. That didn't trigger the I-140 approval either. My lawyer initiated status inquriy in July and August and is about to do a third one. None of them seems to help.

I'm in the same boat as u are. Made two status inquiries and about to make 3rd one in this week. Did you try to contact Senator/Congreeman?

It did not work for me, it may work for u.

My attorney says making status inquiries is not going to help, but i just want to do it as we do not have any other choice.

Yes, I did contacted both senators and congressman - didn't work for me either. Someone memtioned before that the lawyer should be able to talk to the officer after 3 inquiries. I'm not sure if that will work. Another way which I haven't tried is through the AILA. I'll let you know once I find out anything.

About to make 4th status inquiry this month end. This inquiries are not doing any good, just for the sake of it ..

my attorney says my 140 is not delayed, there are ppl who have applied before me and not gotten the approval yet. (thats true, but if i compare my appln with 2004 cases, its delayed!)

Still no news on I-140. I also contacted Senators and Congressman, nothing exciting heard from them. My lawyer is about to make the third inquriy and he told me he will be able to talk to someone after three inquiries. But he doubted that would help. The good thing is we have got our FP notices. Let's hope we can get I-140 and I-485 approved soon.
 
Recently my attorney received a call from Vermont Service center regarding my 140. Officer wanted the original labor certificate as my 140 was filed based on approved labor. Attorney filed my 140 with copy of approved labor cert.
and now my lawyer sent the original approved labor by FEDEX to VSC, after that we have not heard anything yet.

i'M thinking of waiting until month end before making 4th status inquiry. Senator is not even taking my call. :)
 
Mine is NOV 2003

MY I140 ND is Nov 2003. I have called INS 2 months back. They created inquiry. and told me that wait for 30 days and call us back. Around 35 days I called INS again to find out what happen to my inquiry. They told me we couldn’t give you any information, please ask your lawyer/company to call us and we will create again inquiry...

God knows what will happen to my case. I have my friends who I140 approved which filed in around May 2004.

I hate random I140 processing...
