Answer in 6 months

My Case Status: EB2 - India - PD Sep/01 - All Current - FP Expired

After case became current :
1st VSC Response - wait for 90 days
1st National Query - wait for 6 months
2nd VSC Response - wait for 90 days
3rd VSC Response - we can not answer when your case will be approved and it is still pending from external agency (name check)

point is that answer after 6 months is that "Wait".

As per VSC Officer's tone -- "Wait be patient. GC never approves in 2-4years If your GC gets approve less than 6 years you will be lucky."
When pointed out that so many approvals on their website who had filed after me.... "they were lucky".
I liked that officer, at least he was little frank (and sarcastic)

Info Pass experience at Washington, DC

Guys my name check got cleared in May 2006 and my PD became current in October. But my FPs got expired.

My spouse opened an enquiry in September 3rd week regarding the case status. We got a reply last week by saying that "case is under review, a decision will be made in next 60 days".They didn't say anything about FP expiration.

I took a info pass appointment for today morning and spoke with an immigration officer. He verified and told that FPs are expired and he contacted VSC over the phone. He has asked them whether they are going to issue FP appointment otherwise, he is going to issue one. They told him that they have already mailed the FP notices some time last week. Now waiting for the FP mail!

Hi gcva,

Thanks for the response. I also received a reply letter from VSC on October 3 too. It said my case is under review and decision will be made within 60 days. I did my FP2 in August, 2006. I am waiting for the decision.

I've done my early FP today at Alexandira, VA.

I didn't see any LUD change as of today with my second FP(I have done my FP on 10/14/2006).This is a Code 1. I have confirmed today with FBI that the FPs were processed on same day(10/14) and sent back to USCIS.Did you see any LUDs with your 2nd FP?

I had one LUD on 09/09/2006, no online message change. I did my FP2 on Aug 30, 2006. I don't know if this LUD is connecting to my FP2, since the automatic phone message of my I-485 changed around 09/12/2006.

Thanks for the info.I think this LUD for FP2. The format of the phone message was changed by USCIS couple of months back.Earlier they used to give the exact date when they recieved FPs.

For me, last month there is a LUD again, but no message change. I did call CIS yesterday and heard something different automated message from last time.

Is the phone message change a system wide message change for CIS, or is it a real status change for me?

Background checks= IBIS name checks, FBI finger printer checks and FBI name checks. If positive, additional review, investigation, takes efect.
There is 4904 GC cases out of USCIS under review, waiting for results.

Or did you mean 4904K ;-)

Mr. Gonzales, USCIS director said that when he spoke at Florida`s cerimony. They are opening 4 news offices in FL till 2008. The fees will increase for that purpose. These 4904 GC cases are from clients that didn`t get any interview yet and doesn`t count in the USCIS backlog, `cause they`re in external agencies (we`re in a cave with dusts). For this mo of November they have a total of 9000 cases (part of the backlog) to be touched, but in general kinds of applications.

Then I am proud to be one of 4904 hanging in the hands of external agencies.
The extenal agencies say they do not have backlog. So where we are?

USCIS is saying that `cause it`s like to say: "yeah, we have a backlog , but it`s not our fault". They`re under pressure by Washington to end the backlog.

Do you think Washington will help us?
USCIS can pay extra money to FBI to get clear existing backlog, FBI knows that USCIS is getting a lot of money from applicants in account of EADs/APS, etc. The backlog numbers are not so big that cannot be eliminated within a day.
