The other day my US wife and I had our very FIRST AOS interview, and we were severely grilled by the interviewer. I thought that only happened during the second ("Stokes") interview, so I don't know whether we shall be given yet another chance at an interview.
During the videotaped separate interviews 2 or 3 answers didn't match. More than 15 or 20, however, did match, because we were prepared. The interviewer was leaning towards denial of my application due to her suspicions of a fraudulent marriage on the basis of my not remembering what my wife wore prior to having sex with me several evenings ago, but later called my wife's mother on the phone, as my wife sobbingly broke down. Then my mom-in-law confirmed the bona fide nature of our relationship and the interviewing officer started leaning towards approbation this time.
Then my wife showed her the whole crate of supporting evidence we had brought to the interview (photos, apartment lease, bank statement, presents I had given my wife, the video recording of the wedding ceremony, etc.) but the lady didn't seem that interested in it and upon standing up from her chair told her, "You know, this is too corny to be fake." When she escorted us out she told us to wait for a written decision in the mail. She had taken my I-94, had scratched off my tourist visa upon which she had also written A7578957947 and a "filed for AOS," but had NOT stamped anything in the passport itself. She said she had to talk to her supervisor about our case.
Did we or did we NOT have a "Stokes" interview???? Do you think we may be given a chance at another one, considering the fact that we were already subjugated to the grueling questions, the videotaping, etc. during our very first interview? Or do you think it will be a flat denial?
