PD Priority

Do not think that they are following PD priority date. No clue what process they are following when you see the approval pattern. Mine is Feb 2002, EB2. I saw people getting approved even with PD 02 2005. So basically, its all our luck.

Congratulations to those who got their approvals recently.

Majority of the approvals posted on this forum in the recent past have a PD of 2001 or earlier. Maybe VSC has reverted to a PD-based approvals. This is of course fair since these applicants have waited for the longest time.

According to the below release by USCIS, only 6,393 H-1B applicantions were made to the recently announced 20,000 additional H-1Bs. Could it be possible that VSC has finished processing these applications and the staff is back to process I-485. This may explain increase in approvals after a slowdown in the past few weeks. I certainly hope so!!

Can you please post the link of where you saw approvals for Feb 2005 PD's.
Latest approvals lead us to believe that PD is taking precedence.

RFE on 485

Hello All,

Got emails saying a notice requesting additional information was mailed on May 27, 2005.

keeping my fingers crossed...waiting for the letter to reach my attorney.

Please suggest

I spoke to VSC cust rep, the lady was very nice in providing the
information. She informed me that they are waiting for Name and DOB
information from FBI. I confirmed that it is the NameCheck process and
I asked her how to expedite the request, she said the only way is to
contact FBI through e-mail (phone number provided has automated message
to send e-mail).

I have sent an e-mail to FBI in the early april and I didn't have any
update from them. Gurus suggest is there anything I can do except
waiting in this regard?

PD and LUDs

Hello,

I have not seen LUD change after the FP recvd message and hence called USCIS to check my status ( knowing that my PD is still in retrogression), basically i wanted to see whether there were any other issues like name check. The customer rep told me that mine is clearly marked as ready to be adjudicated but waiting for visa and that I should be through in 90-100 days.

Just wanted to pass it along...

Good for you buddy. I wonder how he came up with the 90-100 day figure. Do these guys have any insight on how futher the PDs will move in the near future?

Friend,
I have no idea! either, they have more info than what we have or may be guesstimating since the PD is moving a month every month on an avg, so reaching september 02 dates might take 90-100 days approx...

Guru's,
I am not seeing any LUDs on my case.. do i need to call VSC to find out my case status or should i wait some more days..
Please help me .....

Thx,

hi everyone.... congrats to all the recent approvals.

I have been away for 2 weeks and it seems like USCIS has slowed own a little. I am getting very concerned about our cases - it seems many of the newer approvals have FP done dates in 4/05..... we got ours done on 3/17 and no LUD changes since 3/28... I called VSC and was told that our cases are "in line, where they are supposed to be".... any suggestions from the forum would be welcome.
thanks

I could be wrong, but I think your case might be pending because of FBI name check. I have noticed that usually EB3 applications have two LUDs between FP Received Msg and Approval. EB2's get straight approval after the FP Received Msg. Try sending an email to FBI.

Good Luck!

MA_Labor,
Thanks for your Reply,
I did that (sent Email to FBI) on April month..
But as of now no news from them..
Thanks..

Hi Nivasch... what is the email for FBI?
Thanks,
doc

docneedsdoc,
your are only considering FP date. If you check carefully, all those who got approved with FP dates 04/05 and around, have PD dates as 2002 or earlier.. your PD is 2004, so if I were you, I would not worry too much.

just my two cents.

Wow... so many approvals in last 2-3 days... this is a relief that they are back to work, hope this Memorial Day weekend will not slow it down again. Congrats to all the recent approvals. Cheers.

You may be right. Since, my case is an EB-1, the PD is current and there is no wait for visa numbers etc and from my understanding, if all is clear, then it is a matter of someone picking the file and adjudication.

In any case, I should not worry too much! hopefully, it will sort itself out. Thanks

yes doc,
but your forgetting, that there are other EB-1 applicants who have applied before 2004. If USCIS is going by PD, then their application will be (ideally) adjudicated before yours. Hence the wait. hence the do-not-worry.
But how uscis works is a mystery... !!
the long weekend is probably just what the doctor ordered for a lot of us... ;)

Is your 140 message got changed

Hi VHD999,

First of all congratulations!. How do you know of your approval.Did you receive any e-mails? Is there any LUDs changes before approval exclude that 290B received.

Is your I-140 message got changed after denial.

In my case the LUD of 290B updated with application received. After that no LUDs and still I140 message shows same old message that we received I140 on sep 1st and it will take between 90 days to 485 days.

Can you give me more details of how it got processed with all LUDs and approvals.

Thanks
Karunakar
