Today I received my green card in the mail.
It's so unreal now that I got it. I think I was most excited when I got the FP notice back in February. But I feel very lucky and extremely grateful that everything went well on time with no glitches.

The photo on the card was actually the one that I took at the time of FP at Philly ASC. I had biometrics (code 3) done.
The photos I had submitted in April 2004 when I filed 140/485 concurrently were out of date as the specs changed for immigration photos last summer(was it changed in July 2004?) and the ASC sent the digital photo taken when I did FP.

Thank you all for your invaluable insight and information and willingness to help others which makes this process so much more bearable than it is for all of us.

I wish you all the best and hope the USCIS will work faster to produce more approvals this year. I'll check back on this site from time to time to see if I can help with any questions.

I did not see "approved" message. Last time i checked my status was yesterday (04/11) around 5:00PM and there was no status change. This morning when i saw my status it said "On April 11, 2005, after approving your application, we ordered you a new card. Your card will be mailed to you as soon as it is ready"
 
EAD Process hold

Hi guys,
I got my status enquiry results today. It says "Our computer records indicate that your petition/Application is still under service consideration". I called INS for interpretation, but the first line of defence could not eloborate on it. Any thoughts what it means.

Folks please support the idea of using a different color for all our volunteers' names - we need to show our appreciation for them too.

jp is very humble guy and would not do it till people post it times and again!

I will side with JK boss on this one. We'll start with the idea of a different color for all the volunteers. They are the ones keeping our spirits high and this forum lively.

Hey!! Congratulations! Very happy for you! You were very quiet, hardworking member, one who did not ask JK or ITEC to predict your approval!! Heartiest congrats!!

We support the idea of having the volunteer names in a different color and maybe a message at the bottom to indicate that!

FP Results Received

Received the email on April 9th that the FP results have been received. There was LUD change after that on Apr 11th. See signature.
I agree with the guys who say that FP notices were received with the most joy. I was quiet impatient some time back but after the FP, I am enjoying this wait. This is a sweet wait when you know that it wont be late before you see the GC card in your mailbox. :) All these years of wait is finally over.

For me the worse was waiting for Labor to get approved. But now its all behind me. Now I am going to sit on my lounge chair, enjoy the sun, sip the margarita and before I would know I would see the mailman coming and handing me the magic card :D :D

by the way, JK I support the idea of having the volunteer's record in different color. It will be a good gesture towards all the hard work you guys have put in in answering queries and keeping the file up-to-date.
 
Call into FBI

I made a call into FBI (304) 625-5590 and spoke to a rep and asked her for information about my fingerprints. I had to give her my a#

She told me that my and my spouse's fingerprint results were forwarded back to INS on 3/31/2005. I was little surprised because I did my fingerprints on 3/31/2005. I saw one LUD change on 3/31/2005 with no change in comment.

My question is how come there is no LUD change that I am getting which says FBI results received?

Can someone please advise?
