Calling VSC will not help. Your RFE maybe due to any of these:

1. Employment verification letter
2. Status verification - Pay stubs, W2, I-94 records
3. Biographic information -
a). Copy of passport pages
b). Re-send biographic application
4. FP did not go thru and VSC needs you to get clearance from local police station.

Most likely 1, 2 & 3(a).

Check your pm.

FP experience at Newark

All the people who are going for FP at NEWARK,NJ... as far as my experience...no matter what time is your appointment..please go as early as 7:00AM-10:00 AM. And anytime after that you have to wait in the lane for 3-4 hours and you will end up going on some other day.

They won't process more than 800 cases per day. Once they cross the 800 limit the don't care about your appointment time.They will reschedule your appointment at later date.

just curious to know, IT IS MENTIONED clearly in the processing dates of the USCIS website that in the section of HOW TO USE THE CHART THAT
THE I-485 PROCESSING DATE IS BASED ON THE RECEIPT DATE. IS IT TRUE IF SO AT PRESENT THEY R PROCESSING MARCH 25 TH AT VERMONT CENTER THEN FROM WHERE TH PD ISSUE COMING.

Priority Date is particularly important for EB3 applicants who were born in India, mainland China or Philippines. Currently the EB3 cutoff date for such applicants id April 2002. You can find more information here...

Theoritically yes. But since the date retrogressed, PD has to come into play.

Rationally expect approval in 4-6 weeks, could be as early as tommorow.(My gut feeling is that close to 4 weeks).

This all depends if name check is cleared/no transfer etc.

Now you know that this is no rocket science - so I need not put disclaimer on accuracy anyways! :p

FP Experience - Charlotte, NC

The appointment time was for 3:00 PM, 6th April
Arrived around 12:30 and were asked to come back at 2:00 PM, which was a good thing as we were able to get lunch unhurriedly.

The wait time was for about 45 mins.
The process for Biometrics code 3 took about 10 mins for each of us (me and spouse).

LUD changed to 6 of April 2 hours later.

I got my first LUD for RFE on 12/23, then we submitted docs on 3/18 and LUD changed on 3/18, then no change in LUD until 4/5 when its approved.
Hope this helps and today there is another LUD change on my 140 ( probably they mailed the notice). no other LUD changes on anything else after 3/28 ( two days after my FP done )

you are trying to tell us you did your FP before you got your I140 approval? That's First

485 approval prediction

Jharkhandi, Itec baba and all the other gurus...

I have been a silent reader of this portal and really enjoy reading it .

Please let me know the following ...

1. My H-1 is completing 6 years this month but i have a valid EAD and Advance Parole.. Do i still need to apply for Seventh year extension ?
Or is it okay to continue with EAD.


2.Here are my details .. please predict when to start expecting my 485 approval :) ?

Labor Priority Date: Aug 2002 (India)
140 Approved : Nov 2004
485 receipt date : Aug 2004.
Finger Printing Done and FP recieved message date: March 7 2005.
