thank you for the wishes...but USICS don't want to do that...

USICS gave me 2nd EAD approval on Friday and 2nd AP approval today (for me and my wife) but they want to keep i-485 they love it:D

Folks - take my words - lots of people will report approval this week. anru, itec, patience(patience - I can bet for your 485 approval in a week max - earliest as soon as today).

Maybe like Sunnybaba - people who are in touch with me rarely get RFE, get fast 140/485 approvals. Yesterday a 2001 485 filer was on phone with me, who I had suggested a place for early FP, said he will test it this time(got his FP done without hitch). Perhaps I am being boastful here, but then that is what stats says till now. :D

You are right M3gjk. look I filed in 140/485 in april 04 nothing happed till feb. When I was in touch with you...I got approval so you are right. I cannot say no....

Can you please answer my question...
How long after the 485 approval do I have to work for my employer? I am being overworked, underpaid and feel exploited... I am ready to quit this process all together and go back to where I came from.. It is that bad..
So the question is, how long do I have to stick with my employer before I get my freedom without getting in trouble with USCIS??
HELP !!!

I feel your pain, because even i am in the same situation. As a matter of fact, lot of people might be feeling the same.
My attorney adviced me to stay for atleast 6 mos to 1 year. 1 year looks a little long to me. But i have heard it depends on your quest for citizenship also. If you are looking for citizenship, it might not look good if you quit early. How early is early is, i don't know. Atleast a year i would say.

About one year is safe. After that you don't want to quit job make your emplyer give you layoff by doing underwork for him like he is under paying. that will be fine :D

Ask some good lawyer because INS keeps changing rules...

Not to generalize but it is the case with most people who linger around these forums.

If one has a good job, good pay, stable company, and no fear of GC getting rejected, there is no reason why anyone would want to come to this forum.
They can just check the USCIS dates once in a while just to make sure that things are going forward.

btw: same case here.

Recently My wife called uscis regarding the status and it seems that it was looked like status enquiry for 485.

Will that be a problem as she is not a primary applicant.
my 140 is not approved yet.
 
140 Processing time for EB3 is Dec 30, 2004 ????

The processing time is Dec 30, 2004 which is my 140 RD There was only one LUD which was on 03/07.

Jharkandi, what do you think ? Is this an RFE? Please advice :confused:

Sorry for the delay in answering.
Yes, I am back in the US.

Came by Singapore Airlines. I had AP which was valid till 15th July '05. My POE was LA. The lady at counter asked for AP. I showed her our (mine as well as my wife's) APs. She Stamped it and made a photocopy for her records. Returned me the originals. She just took 3-4 minutes. No questions asked.

Then she said with a big smile on her face --Welcome back to United States.

She did not say anything about my 485 approval (which happened while i was away in India). And neither did I.

Very nice experience.
