JK, 485 approval (is my Priority date a problem?)

Jk, MY Priority date is July 99 (sub). Could that be a reason for the delay in my 485 approval? the Official Date for 485 now is 3/24/04. Please throw some light on this whole priority date crap with respect to my case., thx.

No not at all. In fact it should be other way round(you should have got it fast). Now with your FP done - I belv you are all set.

If you do not get 485 approval in next 30 days, call VSC and raise a query.

Isn't it true that they are processing the cases for the Notice date 3/25/04 and before? I don't think they have approved all the cases before that published date. Just trying to analyze here!!

My 140 also passed the published date and no indication of processing at all. I am assuming that they must be working on my case and there no LUD yet, it will be approved any time soon. I have learned that LUD on 140 is not a good sign. Is it true, Guru Jharkhandi? Please help..

EB2 140 Progressed so fast!!

Question for everyone on EB2 passed the published date.

Vermont center has advanced one year in last month, but I haven't seen that many EB2 140 approvals on this forum. How is this possible? May be we don't have enough people on this forum to track or analyz it..

Finger Printing Notice

Hi Guys

I received the FP notice in the mail today. The FP is scheduled at Alexandria office on May 5th. Is it possible for me to go there and get it done earlier? Has anyone has done that at Alexandria?

Also the notice mention about Biometics? What is that? Any idea?

I am waiting for I-140 approval too. Keeping my fingers crossed. . Earlier we could at least depend on the published dates .. but now thats not the case any more

Since my first post on LUD - I have always said two things:

1. Do not try to read too much between LUD changes. If you tend to miss word 'likely' in sentence very often, do not read next point.
2. If you see few LUD changes(typically 2-3) followed by 2 weeks of no LUD change AND no approval, you will most likely get RFE. This holds very good for EAD and AP, good for 140.

For 485, LUD changes are generally good.

I guess, for your case, you are fine till now.

Addition to above:

If you see LUD change - something is being done on your case(obvious), but if you do not see LUD change - it doesn't means otherwise.

Hello everyone,

I am new to this forum and would like to post my information so it can be added to the tracker.

I-140 (EB-1/ OR) ND 8/6/04 AD 2/23/05
FP (only one) Code 3 Completed 3/17/05
I-485 (concurrent) ND 8/6/04 AD ? LUD 3/17, 3/18

The last LUD change for my 485 was on 3/18 but the message is the same as prior - I have seen most people state that after FP the message changes to "FP received and case resumed" but this has not been the case for us. Is this unusual and should I do something about it?

Also, does everyone send emails to FBI for name check or only if there is an unusual delay?

This is great forum and I will be glad to answer any questions about my case.

I love Eden Garden - that is the place for cricket. I was in Salt Lake, Calcutta for 6 months(now itec is going to ask me - in Calcutta too?). I like Calcutta and ofcourse everything that Calcutta offers!

Kumble is no doubt best spinner, but I would have loved to see Shoaib. He is a class of his own. And ofcourse Kaneria is going to be backbone in near future. Did I forget to mention the best of all time - Rahul Dravid! I wish I was in Calcutta too. By the way we can meet in World Cup in West Indies, if you are planning to come.

Hmmm - regarding re-entry in USA - show AP papers - that is all that you will need. Bodhal Singh recently entered in same situation - so you may like to pm him.
