yes, i am in the des moines area. i am not sure what the DL renewal situation is in iowa, as mine doesn't expire until later this year, when i will know for sure. my home address did change a couple of times, but i did not have it updated on my DL simply because i did not want another added hassle. my wife had temporarily lost her license, and they had said that they were going to issue some kind of "alien" DL, and asked her to come back as the blanks for those had not come in at that time. fortunately, she found her license, so the issue did not come up again.
i will definitely post my DL renewal experience... i wonder if i can hope for a GC approval before that!
There was a new Mar.'02 thread started today. I thought it would be more fun to pull this out of the archives instead. Going by the torrid pace at which NSC seems to be working, it may be awhile though before anybody here sees the light of the day.
What dates are you referring to wtng? This thread covers a three month period and for the INS that is an awful amount of (hard) work!
In all seriousness though, it looks like they will be getting to Dec. anyday now. So a realistic timeframe for Mar. RDs may be Oct.'03. Of-course, this being an optimists' haven, one can hope to see some Mar.'02 activity by Aug. '03 assuming INS is able to pick up some speed.
I was refering to Jan, Feb, and March 2002 RD's. My RD is 2/15. ND is 3/6 (LIN02-126-5****). Well, early in the year - just after the deep freeze - we were hoping for mid-may to start on the Feb RD's. Today, I would not even hope for October as those guys don't seem to be moving at all. My H1 will expire on 9/30/2003. My lawyer already started the process for the 7th year ext.
Means NSC is sending much lesser RFE. Rupnet shows a much different NSC behavior. On rupnet.com, the RFE are high as 60% of apprvals.
Are the cases you are looking at employment based?
Is this day typical or an aberation?
How about other days arround this day? Do they have a higher ratio RFE to approval?
cases. Some guesses we had in the past were like:- aged out cases, cooks on fast track, express priority for like british expat etc. but not for indo-bangla-pak-srilank-and china.
Any other guesses?
NSC is pretty much going into long hibernation now! I am no sure what happened to the other appeal thread we started.
