Lucky you...You got interview same year you filed application? Do we really have such ppl?? :)
Hi Bro,
Attorney cost i can not afford. I filled application by my self. And it is very easy process and there is no any cost if you filled by self.
I suggest my 3 friends to do same way . Out of 3, tow friends got approval within one year.

Hi all,

If anyone has any experience with an approved interview expedite request please share the timeline from when you got it approved to when your interview was actually scheduled. I am contemplating keeping the WOM i already started or cancelling it since i got my expedite request approved

Thanks

Hi all,
Is it possible to ask the court through mandamus to backdate the GC by 5 years in order to compensate for more than 9 years long delay in asylum decision AFTER the interview? Has anyone done it or heard of it? Thank you.

I heard mandamus works in LA only if you are waiting for interview for 5 years and more.Is there anyone here from LA who filed mandamus and got the interview?

I filed a writ of mandamus, and finally, after 9 years, an interview was scheduled, but the officer was not happy with my mandamus. They did not approve my case and sent it to court.

FILLING MANDAMUS AND GETTING DENIAL has no connection!! you basically had weak case it's not about the mandamus stop lying to yourself saying that

Hi, I have been waiting for my interview 3 years and 6 months. Currently my case is in LA asylum office. I was told LA asylum office is accepting only over 5-7 years waiting mark. I am thinking to file mandamus once I reach 4 years mark. Does anyone know what asylum offices don't fight back with 4 years waiting marks? Thanks all in advance!

There is no general rule! You can file a mandamus lawsuit anytime. The asylum office has no jurisdiction to accept or deny it. They might try to fight back and take it to the court, but this is highly unlikely since it costs thousands of dollars for USCIS. If you want to file for mandamus, do it now, as I have heard that the interview schedule is set for the next 12 months. It would be nice to discuss this with a lawyer who is an expert in federal-level litigation, though.

Hello Folks,
Any recent one went through a Writ of Mandamus for scheduling an asylum interview at the LA office. My question is after many days did they schedule the interview? ( LA asylum office)
