It will take around 7 to 9 business days to get the SSN card in mail. You can call SSN office the day after you submit your application and get the SSN number and use it to join the company. Good luck buddy........ don't forget to update me after you talk to an immigration officier.

I think it is nothing wrong in calling INS. You can atleast update your address if something is in-correct. INS says 14 days and that would be 20th right (three more days). It must come keep some patience. I stopped worrying about my wifes EAD because as I think about it I get frustrated...
