Hi hetal18, I used a substitute labor & applied for I-140 in june 2002. There was an RFE on that I1-140 in june 2003 (yes... it took 12 months). Once the lawyers responded to RFE, 140 was approved in 1 month i.e. July 2003. 6 months after that was my interview. hope this helps.

Got Swiss transit visa. You get the visa immediately if all documents are in order.

vermontcp, I had called Mumbai consulate a few days before the Jan intvw dates were published. The lady whom I spoke told me my intvw date and also mentioned that the packet 4 had been mailed out 2 days before. If you call the consulate, you should be able to find out.

Received Packet 4 today... Contains appt letter, DS 230 Part I & II forms, instructions on medicals, photos etc.
