    Life after GC !

Sure, if you come from countries like Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, North Korea or who knows even from China if you think they are curtailing your freedom of expresson, yes GC could be much more than just "convenience". Fortunately that is not the situation in my personal case. But I do understand...

    Life after GC !

Its been 2 years since we got our GC. Life has been okay so far. I just went from wasting my time on immigration.com to other forums. Life is not that different. GC or Citizenship or H1B, only thing companies care about what have you done for them lately. I must admit that one advantage of GC is...

    Relocating opinions needed

Agreed wholeheartedly with you. The blandness of life here is amazing ( I mean in a negative sense). I once did a cross country drive from NY to SF bay area. Once you crossed Iowa, it is all same all the way to pacific coast, except may be the natural geography. A city is nothing but a bunch of...

    Travelling other countries with greencard

Yes this is exactly what one should do. In fact avoid Lufthansa and other european airlines altogether while going to India. Just use asian airlines like cathey pacific, thai and singapore. -JC

Bunch of JERKS is what USCIS is...

Ciao in italian means bye. It also means "Hi". So it is used for both 'hi' and 'bye'. Something like our "Ram Ram" in indian villages. You say it when you see someone you know, also when they leave you say "ciao". BTW "Ci" in italian is english "ch". -JC.

Bunch of JERKS is what USCIS is...

Absolutely I agree with you. This poster upstate_NY's comments show the mentality of some people who think US is doing a favour to them by having them here. These people you can think of as suffering from immense inferiority complex. You can see their attitude in everything they do. They will...

Re-entry requirements for Green Card holders

So If I do want to apply for citizenship, is it okay for me to make trips abroad lasting more than 6 months and less than 1 year. If I can keep coming for 2 weeks (lets say after every 8-10 month trip), I can keep the permanent residence forever. Is this correct ? Thanks. JC.

Is US greencard enough to visit Mexico ?

I asked the question because if you look at the maxican consulate websites in US, they are confusing. Sometimes they say that if you have passport from certain countries (which includes India) you need to have visa to enter Mexico even if you have a US greencard. Though some consulate...

Going for GC Stamping - But No I-94 ???

What are you going to do with this I-94. When I went for stamping they did not take I-94 from my passport either. Though if I had noticed I would have at least asked if she needs I-94. -JC.
