I saw the change on the website when the case was transferred. I also received a transfer notice soon afterwards. I received the interview notice letter (I know my attorney did not get a copy of this) abotu 10-15 days before the interview. Hope this helps. Good Luck......

the interview letter does say do NOT bring along small children. But I am guessing if you can handle them and the interview at the same time, it should not be a problem..

Yes, that is the general feeling. Sometimes, it takes longer at satellite offices as the case is routed thru the main office in that state.

I wish they would implement a rule , that would automatically give conditional approval to 485 cases pending for more than 180 days.

Yep, should not be a problem, 1099, W2, hourly, etc. As long as you have a valid EAD you are good to go.

Yes you can do that yourself, it does not have to be done thru a lawyer. In fact, my attorney did give me the option of filing it on my own. It is a very simple procedure. Keep in mind though, if there is an RFE on the EAD application, will you be able to tackle it ?

I dont think there is any link between when an FP is done and the time taken for approval.
