I saw the change on the website when the case was transferred. I also received a transfer notice soon afterwards. I received the interview notice letter (I know my attorney did not get a copy of this) abotu 10-15 days before the interview.

the interview letter does say do NOT bring along small children. But I am guessing if you can handle them and the interview at the same time, it should not be a problem..
Yes you can do that yourself, it does not have to be done thru a lawyer. In fact, my attorney did give me the option of filing it on my own. It is a very simple procedure. Keep in mind though, if there is an RFE on the EAD application, will you be able to tackle it ?
