want to work on 1099 not primary applicant

I want to work on 1099 as Independent contractor. my 485 is pending with CSC center. I am not primary applicant. My husband is primary applicant. Please advice.

Get EAD and SSN. You are derivative applicant. No problem.

Yep, should not be a problem, 1099, W2, hourly, etc. As long as you have a valid EAD you are good to go.

dampak is RIGHT. The derivative applicant does not have to worry about W2/hourly/1099 as long as he/she has a valid EAD. The problem lies with the primary applicant who has to stick to the LC defined Job description.
