Rfe I received an RFE today on my EB3 I-140 application. I do not know the details yet about the RFE. My guess is it might be about Ability to Pay, as I have the necessary educational qualifications, but you never know what these people are capable of asking.

I-140 approved Just wanted to let you know that my I-140 (EB2) has been approved. I have another I-140 (EB3) pending. The RD on EB3 pending date is Aug 14 and the ND on the approved EB2 petition is Sept 4. Filing is regular and service center is NSC.

it is the LCA expiration date. The H1 application has to be filed before the LCA expires. It has nothing to do with the expiration of the H1.

you can. you have to contact the uscis and ask to cancel the application. but if the transfer was approved, you cannot cancel it, but you can still work for your old company as long as the original H1 is valid.

it is not real time. There is usually a delay. For example, my application for H1 was approved on Sept 28, but my portfolio was updated on 10/03.

My H1 was filed on May 22, receipted on May 26th. Approved on Sept 28. Regular processing.

Receipt Date is the date your application was received at the USCIS center. Notice Date is the date your application receipt was generated. For the cap, it is the Receipt Date that matters, so you are safe.

My application was filed on May 22nd, and receipted on May 26th. My application has been approved on Sept 28. Most of the applications that were filed between May 16 and May 25 have been approved. There are around 10% of applications that were filed before May 25 are pending.

As per my knowledge, if your OPT expires, you cannot work. But you are still in legal status as your H1 has been applied for. You can start working once your H1 is approved. You need not get the application in hand to start work.
