    I tried doing that today in chicago and was flat out refused. The guy at the front said they were "short staffed", when the whole office was empty. To make matters worse my car was also towed from the lot:mad:

    Prior/Past Due Years Tax

    Thanks a lot Cregan, So if I file these now, will it hold for the IO that I had filed taxes for those years 2006 and 2007. I would be filing these with income "0" as I am a student. Do the local offices accept past due tax returns. The IRS website says to mail them into Atlanta.

    what is recommended for that ? Unfortunately I havent filed tax so far (just turned 21). Am a student. My license was the older one was well, with the previous address. And I didnt rent an apartment in my name. used to live with my brother when I used to come here.

    Quick question on US citizenship

    Query on N400 Do I have to be physically present in the US from the time of filing N400 till the interview date ? (besides for FP of course) Is there any rule that I cannot travel out of the US till the time of Interview or Oath ?

    thanks for the reply. If your application is denied at the interview stage for this reason (out for >6months) does it negatively affect the next time you apply ?
