First, is it "dismiss the complaint?" Please spell correctly when posting messages here. :) As for your substantive question, you need to ask people with professional knowledge. I suggest tortfeasor and/or thankful. Good luck.

    niagara falls..american side...any expirience??

Not so fast, your royal highness. Four years ago a group of local high school students visited Niagara Falls and they somewhat entered Canada. They were put into deportation by the DHS. These kids were not "deaf, dumb and mute." They were honors students. So do some research...

GC Holder Returned from Home Country

I agree with your assessment that in America we have something called due process and that the story you referred to is not credible. Since you brough up due process and in light of the contents of other posts in the thread, I must say that in your beloved China people everyday get killed...

    poor Comcast!

What is your point? Learn some immigration history. The asylum system in the early 1990's was a miserable failure. Hundreds of thousands of applicants who applied at the time are still not interviewed for their asylum claims as of today in 2006. It was standard for people who applied in...

can i renew my passport where i got the asylum from after getting my greencard

I thought it was obvious. We were asked about passport renewal and any possible visits to the country that persecuted us.

can i renew my passport where i got the asylum from after getting my greencard

I do NOT claim to know how the system works in general. All I can relate are my experiences. All my relatives and I were asked this question during the citizenship exams.

top iranian official has a green card!!

It depends on the specifics of the asylum application, country conditions and the reason(s) for your trip. There is no per se rule one way or the other. People would be seriously mistaken if you thought that the USCIS did not care about this anymore the minute they issued them the green card.

The distinction between asylees and refugees for citizenship purposes has been the law for over 25 years.

Citizenship after 5 years of granted asylum?

Citizenship is a very important benefit and they will review your file with a fine comb. They did in my case and talked about my travels to countries bordering on country of persecution (they just wanted to make sure that I had not entered that country (I had not).

top iranian official has a green card!!

Good posts, Joe. A random check of posts in this board shows that people do not really understand that a green card can be lost for a number of reasons. The term permanent is highly misleading in many senses.

top iranian official has a green card!!

The Government HAS to revoke the green card in situations this like. It happened to the deputy minister of my country and his family too.
