even i didnt receive my I-20 with the approved stamp from INS,when I changed my status from H1 to F1, so i contacted my international student centre in my school they told me nothing to worry and issued me the new I-20.they told just ignore it, it happens sometimes INS doesnt send u back the...

No need of stamping now , but if you intend to travel you need it.

Just checkit online, currently it is may 20 updated on 20th july, that means almost 2 months..it depends on the work load..

Now atomatic revalidation is cancelled, so you can not comeback to USA without stamping even after 1 day also.

Its better changing the status in USA, bcoz if you go to consulate its hard to prove that u are not intending to immigrate, because u was on h1 before.I also changed my status internally here at vermont it just took 20 days for the change of status.

when she get her H4 she will get new I-94 attached with the h4 document,yaa usually they ask for the copy of visa during the COS, just send them the h4 approval and her f2 visa which is there in the passport and attach a covering lettering explaining the above reason..I hope it works
