I forgot something, even if you make 0 (zero) in a year he needs to file for taxes. Just put (zero) everywhere. Sometimes is hard to overcome that part with the USCIS
it's 125% combined if I'm not wrong. Now, when did you got married, how long have you been living with your husband (together)? Even if he doesn't (or didn't) work while married you guys should've filed for Taxes, the most important is MARRIED, FILLING JOINTLY. Even if his part is nil. For the...
If he is a citizen (naturalized for that matter) and PASSED the naturalization interview she should be able to defend herself. Worst case scenario you can bring someone and may need to answer a couple of questions, that's all.
You take your chances as always if you don't have ALL the documents that they are requesting in the letter. Some people don't file for the medical exams at the same time of the I-485, the letter is generic so some may apply, some others don't. I took my chances, I went without the new medicals...
Didn't he filled for tax return at all? as far as I know what they are worried is thatyou become poor after the marriage and use welfare benefits. What stage are you in? if you are going to file for the first time its ok. List all your assets at that time, once you get the interview (the final...
No, I did not. I decided to follow what the memo said. He didn't even asked me about the medical. Take the memo with you JUST IN CASE but I did refuse to spend $350 in another medical exam. (because you would have to get the medical + the STD check)
Ok, you may need a lawyer IF you have done something not appropiate in the past or if your wife is not planning to go to the interview or something else bizarre, other than that you should not hire a lawyer to go to the interview, I had mine not so long ago and the BCIS guy was very rude but oh...
This is a small follow up regarding the processing time of GC. I got mine in the mail yesterday, July 11, so 2-3 weeks after the interview is not bad at all... :) :) :)
Yayyyyy, I got it. Since I got married 2 1/2 years ago I got the permanent stamp in the passport....BUT....Here's what happened. The guy never asked for the medical exams, however I did have a copy from the county health dept. stating that I was STD free and that I have all my vaccination done...
it is expensive but never THAT expensive... average medical is 90 ~ 150 and exams its up to the doctor, check if he accepts the LOCAL COUNTY HEALTH EXAMS(VACCINES/STD) Certification. I did it that way and I save a bunch... Since that is subsidized, the Vaccines were about 60 and the STD exams...
ptfffffff
I wish I'll be able to tell ya. The law (or memorandum) is not 100% clear about that situation. I wish more people will be able to tell us their experiences about this particular. As of me, I have the appointment in almost 1 week so I'll let you know what its going to happen... I'm...
Looks to me that you are right. I don't care if I have to take another exam with more shots and stuff but it's very inconvenient. Anyway, I think I'll see you in atlanta on the 22nd. My appt. is @ 1PM.
Yeah, It looks standard. When is your interview? Are you going to take extra medical exams? BTW, My interview is June 22 and I recieved the letter like 2 days ago...
?????
 This is a little confusing. I recieved a letter for my appointment for adj. of status (I485 for marriage) and in the appointment checklist (under documents required for ALL interviews) says:
I DID submit the medical certification with the application back on June of 2003 so that...
