You might have played by the RULES... but not all legal guys are by the rules, of the many things padding the resume is quite common.
Illegals are often not that very highly educated and very poor..and they do most hardest type of job on the earth. Highly educated guys don't get duped by there...
First all the documentary approve-able applications are lined up ordered by PD. Cut-Off is determined.
All with current PD are then taken in FIFO order based of there RD. ( with some exception -- if the child is turning 18 (?) soon -- then they are jumped up the queue}
it looks like your Mom heard it wrong.. He must have said 6 months.
Anyways -- what date is in I-94 is final .. for longer stay you can apply for extensions. Make sure you make photo copy of I-94 before you give it away to airport guys .. [wonder what they do with it ]
The point is .. the validity of 485 application. To apply for 485 one needs to in US. Ok.. once you dispatch the 485 from Ur attorneys office .. you will not know if USCIS have received the application .. that is LIN number(etc) get attached to your A#.
So he can travel .. but his 485 might get...
I was wondering if one uses a friend's address -- does it screw up the background check with USCIS.
I own couple of rental homes .. and before renting I do background check and credit checks of tenants. I get detail information about them .. like where they lived, worked there payment history...

Even I am wondering .. why pay so much .. If someone keeps the same amount in the form of CD .. without any headaches one can earn $6200 per year.. easy money.
You have to fill the AR-11 form as well update the addresses on all pending applications with USCIS.. Just doing AR-11 is not enough.
Well good news is -- its easy to correct this .. Just call USCIS ..
Yes sir -- I am in the same page as you.
The above comments were from IV members -- when someone was trying to urge them to incorporate repealing the labor substitution in there agenda.
But IV guys at that point said that -- labor substitution is not bad and is not cause of retrogression...
Deepa,
Now they have banned the labor substitution .. so there is no point in reporting to INS, USCIS etc.
Previously DOL tried many times to do away with labor substitution, but some attorneys fought back and they won.
I had read some posts .. a year back from IV members where they said...
Cash Cow
Some charged $120,000 ... wonder who paid that much.
Sub Labor is/was a real money making machine ... and everyone who were gaining thru it are/will be fighting to keep it in place.
yes .. but once Ur spouse uses EAD then he/she would need AP to reenter... It is easy to do EAD online .. but you need to go for biometrics. If you do it on paper then there is no need for biometrics. For AP you need to send your pictures.
You can file 485 yourself .. the form is simple .. but why risk.
Applying EAD/AP is upto you.. but since you have h1b upto 2010.. you can save some $ by not applying. Only thing about EAD is that Ur spouse can work .. and if you want to do some part time job then it can be possible with EAD...

It is better to apply for AP also with your EAD. Biometrics is nothing to do with your name check. The two goes independent of each other.
U seem so excited ...
good luck ..
Lets hope this is your GC...
Did you see the LUD messages now a days from USCIS .. they use words like Documents Manufactured, Card production ordered etc.
