Will uscis/cbp Care About Accepting Two Job Offers At The Same Time (Not Working Two Jobs At The Same Time)

USCIS/CBP don't care which job offers you accept or who else you were working for when you did. If you can juggle 2, 3, 4 employers simultaneously and keep them happy, that's between you & them, not for USCIS/CBP to judge. What USCIS/CBP *does* care about is: 1. Do you have a bona-fide job...

Getting a TN visa for Software Engineering with a Mechanical Engineering degree?

This perception might have been much more true 10-20 years ago, especially when "programmer" was still a job description. The OOH CSA lists "Most analysts do some programming in the course of their work.". But it's not the primary duty. It's ancilliary to "study an organization’s current...

I-485 Marriage Visa and Criminal History

I'm not at all knowledgeable, but my understanding is the reasons for inadmissibility are the same ones which would disqualify getting a green card. i.e. crimes of moral turpitude. The cause injury / unlawful assault do not appear to be moral turpitude crimes. Which is why you were allowed...

TN visa for Electronics and Communication engineering in Bachelors and Electrical engineering in Masters for Computer System Analyst role

Congratulations Sunny. It appears that for people with "engineering" degrees, they could find more success applying for an "Engineering" TN than for a "CSA" TN.

TN visa for Electronics and Communication engineering in Bachelors and Electrical engineering in Masters for Computer System Analyst role

You guys need to pay attention to the requirements and/or pay for a lawyer to explain them to you. Baccalaureate or Licenciatura Degree in a closely related field, OR Post-secondary diploma plus 3 years of relevant experience. A post-secondary diploma is a credential issued on completion of 2...

Best POE for first time TN

First 1-2 times getting TN is stressful for most people. There's some luck of the draw but not much can help that. The reality is most people have either a clear approval or clear disapproval. A small amount of people fall into the discretionary zone ("Management consulting") and so forth in...

    URGENT INFO NEEDED- TN Visa

How did this go? Flying sounds like a great option, since afaik airport POEs cannot realistically require appointments for TN applications.

TN Intent to Return to Canada

You will not. And even if you are asked, the answer is easy: "I intend to return to Canada when this status expires."

Is there any way to have a TN visa but also be a co-founder of a Canadian business? Or start own US-based business?

A TN status doesn't permit you to operate your own US based company. I don't know if a status is required to run a Canadian company while residing in the USA, you'll have to look into that. But I do know that a TN status would not give that permission.

Best POE for first time TN

The reality is: no one except a lawyer has enough experience to compare 7 POEs. Even if a single person had gone to all 7 POEs, their first entry would be 10-15 years old, not to mention they'd have no way of knowing if they happened to get an unusually nice or unusually difficult officer...

First time applying TN visa for Canadian

#2a. There is not really a "renew" for TNs. You simply apply for a new TN whenever you want to work for a new company, or if your old TN is expiring soon and you want to start a new term of work with your old employer. #2b. If you want to work for company "A" and company "B" simultaneously...

    TN Support letter

Every single one of my support letters has had the logo embedded in the document template; none of them used offset-printed letterhead paperstock. Don't overthink it- if the letter looks professionally prepared, then you're fine. Even if the officer is suspicious, they can call the company and...

Do I have to bring the original TN offer letter to the border? or printout is also fine

My last 2 TNs have been with emailed support letters. You should be fine. Even if not, then you waste a few days while they fedex you a wet-ink signed letter. No big deal.

    I-601 waver

You want to apply for an I-192 non-immigrant waiver. Be sure to describe that your purpose is B1 (business) B2 (Pleasure) and to apply for TN status. Border officers will not process your TN application if they discover you are inadmissible and you do not have a waiver with a "TN" purpose.

    TN Question

The practical reality is that a border officer looking at your new TN application isn't going to start rooting through your bank statements & tax returns looking for evidence that you illegally worked in the USA. As for the IRS tipping off the USCIS that they suspect you worked illegally in the...

TN Visa - Is a Project Manager role eligible

You might qualify under "Management Consult" category, but it could be tough. That's an abused "catchall" category so it gets a lot of skeptical scrutiny. In your spot I'd look for an experienced TN lawyer to try to build a persuasive letter of support, and even then, i'd consider it a gamble.

    Mutiple TN

At the border you need to bring the same support documentation for every new TN application. It doesn't change even if you have a current TN with another employer. When you apply for your 2nd TN, at the start of the interaction, tell the officer doing the processing that you want them to keep...

TN Pre-approval Vs applying at Border

If you have the freedom to do so, then taking your application to the border is a far superior way to do it. At the border you have much more control over the interaction, and you get an adjudication within an hour (vs. weeks or months).

TN Visa-Should I renew passport before applying?

IMO don't worry about your passport right now. 2.5 years is a long time, when was the last time you held the same job for more than 2.5 years? As nelsona said, even if you want to use the full 3 years of your TN status, you can get a new I-94 once you get your new passport. But at that...
