why did they deny your case initially, i.e. after you sent rfe response with all the required information ???

First of all, she will not become out of status as long as her I-485 is pending. she will be on the status called AOS. But, its good to move onto EAD which she got through I-485.

It must have done only FPs Have you asked regarding name check ? If they Name check also done, then its a good news for you definetely.
