    citizenship lawsuit....

Can someone define the logic steps to take in order to procede with this? I guess the first step is to find 2-4 good lawyers willing to take the case, once we know that do the fundraising part of it, and file away. I will talk to my lawyer in NYC.

Has any asylee invited his Parents or Relatives to US?

My parents were denied their visa at the U.S. embassy because of my status. They have strong ties to their country, jobs at professional level. When they told the consular officer that I was an asylee, he denied their application and told them that they wanted to come here and apply for asylum...

    Individual hearing rescheduled by IJ

I think you should ask those questions to your lawyer. All I can tell you is that unless it was you or your counsel who requested the delay in the proceedings, you still get your work authorization 150 days after filing for asylum. Just be patient, in my case, I was rescheduled 3 times...

How to send Application to USCIS?

Priority mail will do. $3.95 flat rate (I think) with delivery confirmation. Save yourself $9 for a beer if you dont send it express.

    Can Apply for asylum?

I am pretty sure she can't...a felony bars you from most immigration benefits in the U.S. Probably they'll take away her green card, and deport her back to her home country on the spot. I'd suggest talking to a very good and expensive lawyer, maybe s/he can give you some ideas.

    EMERGENCEY...very ill mother

Sorry to hear about your situation. My advise to you is don't think it twice! Run to see your mother... just do it knowing that you are risking your greencard/citizenship application. I personally would do it, and deal with the possible implications later. Lawyers and money can solve a lot...

Info-Pass fiasco! Are they better off hiring monkeys?

Antonio2, I think you should take a chill pill, do not take me wrong on this I love the U.S. for the opportunity that gave of staying here in the U.S. USCIS advertises Infopass as friendly systems that allows users to conveniently talk to a trained immigration officer in any subject about...

Info-Pass fiasco! Are they better off hiring monkeys?

Just wanted to share my experience with an Infopass appointment today at the USCIS office in New York. I got an appointment via Infopass to talk with an IO about my residency application, waited for a little over an hour before my turn came up, when I talked to the IO he was not even aware...

Help: RFI notice returned by post office

I think you should schedule an InfoPass appoinment, and talk in person with an Immigration Officer, at this point this might be the best way to go. I sent my 485 with a mailing address as a PO BOX, and it has worked wonderfully for me since I have moved several times already and have not...

    Green Card Timeline

Agree, their projected timeline is just a random number generated by some guy at USCIS. However, things are moving way faster now than back in 2001. Be prepared to do your BIO, medical exam and G325A within the next 6 months. That's what has been happening to the people who applied in late...

ND2005 -- Are they really moving faster?

Hi guys, Just wanted to gauge your opinion regarding the processing of I-485, filed in 2005. To me, at least, it seems like people who filed in the second half of 2005 is getting processed a lot faster than people who filed before. Most of them already had their BIOs done, as well as...

    Supplemental form to I-693

Thanks floyd. I've actually called the doctor's office. The nurse didn't give me a copy of the supplemental form, only the I-693. But she told me the supplemental form was inside the sealed envelope. I guess I'll have to trust her. Again, thanks for your help.

    Supplemental form to I-693

Hi all, I received an RFE requesting the following items: 1. G325-A 2. I-693 (medical) 3. Supplemental form to I-693 I went to the doctor; he filled out the I-693 indicating that everything was OK. In the Immunization determination part, he wrote “Immunizations up to date”. However, he...

PO Box as mailing address?advise, please

NOT TRUE! I have my I-485 to a PO BOX.. I have received all my notices including the BIO request, Request for Medical and Notices of action to my PO BOX. I set it up that way, because I move around every year or so and I didn't want my I-485 or travel documents to get lost. The PO BOX is...

    Anyone ND 2005 here?

It seems to me that ND2005 cases are moving somehow faster.. Am I correct? I sent the I-485, and already did BIO code 3, and they sent me the documents requesting the medical exam. I was actually getting prepared to wait for years (before they removed the 10,000 cap), so I am to some...

Please give us the process breakdown

It is a great description of the process in general, but I think the BIO codes might be different for some of us. My RD is 07/2005 and I did my BIO Code 3 in 10/2005. I've never received anything else from USCIS, not RFI, RFE, nothing at all. So I think sometimes they send different BIO...
