AC21 filing samples - where are they?

Hi All, It used to be several threads around here with lists of documents and samples of AC21 and EVL letters... Does anybody know where all of this has been moved? If they are gone for good, could anybody give a sililar useful link? Thanks!

    Contract position with Ac 21

However if your employment with the consulting company is premanent on W-2, the duration of each assignment does not matter.

Very long travel while on AOS

Thanks for your reply! But what happens if someones AOS got appoved while one is outside of the US? The AP papers are meaningless then, and there is no GC stamp in the passport... Is it possible situation at all? I was under impression that when one lives the US his/her AOS process is put on...

Very long travel while on AOS

Hi All, My wife and I are currently on AOS, we have valid EADs and APs. For family reasons my wife may have to go back to our home country for an extended period of time. What would be the implications for the GC process? Does it mean her (or ours both) processes will be put on hold until...

    Financial documents for "do-it-yourself" AC-21

Hi All, I am planning to inform the USCIS about my changing job under AC-21. I've switched to a public company, so its financial docs are open, but what exactly do I need to submit? Financial reports (annual and quarterly) are available from the company website, but they are about 150 pages...

    AC21 -- Changing Jobs

I would say as long as you are a permanent employee of a consulting company, changes of clients / projects do not matter. Many guys who work for my current consulting compay got their I-485 approvals, with the average project assignment length 6-12 months.

Private company data in RFE - is it possible?

That's one of the reasons I opted for a public company over a private one (Although it's a bit scary - to be depend on a bunch of greedy ignoramuses (shareholders) and their even more greedy and sleazy representatives (BOD)... Just kidding! ). But did anybody ever hear about the situation...

Private company data in RFE - is it possible?

Hi All, I am about to change employer using AC21, and trying to make myself ready in all ways I can think about. One question just pop into my mind: Is it possible that RFE on I-485 calls for some kind of private employer-related information? Could USCIS requests some financial data which...

USCIS Just Announced Launch of New EAD in June 2004

What's interesting about it? The same 1-year EAD, but now with a magnet strip and no references to former INS - sure, that's goona help us a lot! They just keep wasting resources on unnecessary projects instead of clearing backlog.

    EAD replacement - misspelled name

Thanks everybody! At least it's comforting to know that nothing extraordinary is going on, and it's just as usual with USCIS: "situation normal - all f@#%ed up!..."

    EAD replacement - misspelled name

Neel & Krish: Did you guys receive any intermediate communication from USCIS in a timeframe between sending your cards and getting them back? Receipts or anything like that? ginnu: My mistake - of course we did not call VSC directly, we called that one-for-all USCIS call center...

    EAD replacement - misspelled name

Hi All, My wife's EAD renewed card came with her last name misspelled. We called VSC, they told us to send the card back with new application marked as "EAD replacement", and no fees. We did exactly that, a month passed with no sign of activity from VSC - no card, no even receipt. I know they...

    Ac21

What makes you so sure about that? Was that a memo or something established that? As far as I know the portability (AKA AC21) and concurrent filing were introduced by different laws, and correlation between them is the gray area. By the letter of the law two conditions should be met - 1) I-140...

VSC , EAD card ordered message on website

Shouldn't be long. Mine recent EAD renewal message changed from "card ordered" to "card mailed" in couple of days, and I've got the card within a week after that.

    Repeated AP processing time

Hi All, Is there a difference in processing time of first-time AP applications vs. repeated AP applications? My multi-entry AP (which I used once) is about to expire, so I submitted application for another one... Has anybody done it recently, and how fast was it approved?

    AC21 - resignation vs lay-off

Re: What is layoff letter ? A nice letter from your company saying your employment has been terminated. You are very lucky person if you never saw it before. :) I've heard an opinion that for the EBGC it's better to be laid off - you are not breaking your intention to work for the sponsoring...
