I am currently working as Sr. Developer and my company, when they filed my Labor they thought, the category "Consultant" is all encompassing and that a consultant could wear different hats with increasing/decreasing responsibilities within the company.
However, at the moment, with my I-140 approved and with my I-485 pending for 9 months, I am at the moment, pursuing couple of opportunities which will either take me as a Project Manager or as a Sr. Developer. Of course, in both the cases the job description will be *almost* identical with, may be, some extra buzz words. However the job title is bound to change because these are permanent employment and they are not going to tell that I am a consultant. As far as the Salary goes, I think, I will be getting what ever is mentioned in my LC.
What are the risks that I need to be potentially aware of. I would like brace myself in case disaster strikes (which always does )
Thanks, vk
